Device states and actions required
This chapter describes repairs relating to a defined
repair result.
Mechanical/hydraulic:
• The brake no longer provides braking action. Page 4
• The laminated panel is damaged.
Page 59
•
•
No brake function
Lift column cladding (see „Lift the column cladding“
on page 15).

Fig. 2
Check all double casters for ruptured housing.
Replace defective double casters (see „Replace
double caster“ on page 36). Pay attention to
electrical conductivity: a conductive double caster
(can be recognised by the yellow housing ring) may
not be replaced by a non-conductive double caster.
Fig. 3
After replacing double casters manufactured prior
to June 2011 with double casters produced more
recently, the directional caster (if present) must be
height-adjusted (see „“ on page 118).
Fig. 4
Check wheel cover.
Replace damaged wheel cover (see „Replace
double caster“ on page 36).
CAUTION!
Risk of injury! Broken edges on the wheel cover may
be sharp and cause cuts.

Check braking function: Press the brake pedal and
check whether the table can still be moved.
If the brake functions, stop this repair.

Fig. 9
Press the brake pedal. Check whether the brake is
working on both casters at the head end.
Fig. 10
Use a spanner (spanner size 11) to turn the hexag-
onal shaft at the foot end, and check the braking
function of the casters at the foot end. If the brakes
are not functioning: replace defective double caster
(see „Replace double caster“ on page 36).
If braking function continues to be inadequate:
Please contact Service (see „Contact data“ on page
68).
Assembly: Proceed in the reverse order.
