Abstract
In the laboratory the hydrostatic pressure of a liquid at rest was determined, for this, three
test probes were counted, one for the depth, one for the surface and one lateral, the
formulas were introduced in Cassylab to find the results, the straight probe was coupled and
after calibrating it to zero again it was introduced to 5 cm, and the steps were repeated with
the other two probes. Then the variation of the hydrostatic pressure was observed as a
function of height, using the straight probe starting at or 10 cm in steps of 1.0 cm. With
this, it was concluded that the hydrostatic pressure only depends on the height and density
of the fluid when it is at rest and that the hydrostatic pressure is directly proportional to the
height of the submerged straight probe.
