problem creating BP from LSMW using IDOC 

Hi,
I am trying to insert a business partner using LSMW and the IDOC type CRMXIF_PARTNER_SAVE_M, but I am getting the following errors:

Error status 'A ' calling validation service

Message no. CRMXIF_COMMON010

Validation error occurred: Module CRM_BUPA_MAIN_VAL , BDoc type BUPA_MAIN .

Message no. SMW3018

Date / / contains invalid characters

Message no. S5011

Partner (...): the following errors occurred

Message no. BUPA_MW_EXCHANGE010

Please note that I did not enter anything at all in the date field!!
I also tried to directly input values from WE19 in that IDOC type and got the same result. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried filling the date with a '/' to indicate that it is empty? Location: Reading

It is indeed difficult to get a good error message back.

I had the same error , manage to work around it.

If anyone has some 'WORKING' sample codes , it would help many people

