A. COURSE DESCRIPTION
National Service Training Program is a program created
by law (R.A. 9163) aimed at enhancing civic
consciousness and defense preparedness in the youth by
developing the ethics of service and patriotism while
undergoing training in any of its three (3) program
components namely: Reserve Officer Training Corps,
Civic Welfare Training Service and Literacy Training
Service. Its various components are especially designed
to enhance youth active contribution to the general
welfare
B. COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of the course, you should be able to:
1. Present the NSTP components, goals and
objectives and its importance to the students and
the youth.
2. Enumerate the desirable traits of a Filipino youth
and what can he contribute to the national
development.
3. Explain the basic concepts, principles and
process of community mobilization.
4. Promote and motivate students to facilitate
initiatives for nation-building in the areas of
health, education, environment,

 Student who arrives late for class after the time schedule indicated three (3) times shall be
given 1 full absent mark.
 Students participation in different activities will be regularly monitored.

 The prescribed uniform of NSTP should be strictly observed.

 The student handbook will serve as the guide for all. Additional guidelines may be issued
by individual faculty to respective classes.

I. CONSULTATION HOUR

Consultation hours will be announced individually by each faculty, with view to the concept of
mentoring and nurturing the ideas of the students. The students are encouraged to regularly seek
the advice of their faculty
