Purpose
• Early engagement with Local Board of pedestrian
improvements being investigated on Sunnynook Rd

• The public have raised concerns regarding safe crossing points


around schools and other pedestrian generators

• Proposal
• Three school-related pedestrian improvements
• Sunnynook Bus Station signalised crossing (to be delivered through the
Community Safety Fund)
• Construction in this financial year, subject to consultation
• Investigation of improvements around Sycamore Drive

Next Steps
• Design and assessment underway, including consideration of
impact on travel time
• Feedback sought from Local Board
• Consultation to be carried out simultaneously as a package:
• Three school-related pedestrian improvements, and Sunnynook Bus
Station crossing.
• Expected to commence in September 2019.

• Delivery in 2019/20 financial year, subject to consultation


outcome.
