Steps.

1)Install Windows Sever 2012


 Insert DVD
 Restart the Computer
 Press F11
 Choose SATA2- ATAPI
 Windows Set Up
 Choose Standard with GUI
Partition: It depends to Assessor
Tip: To make installation fast, Click shift F10 then after CMD appear type “task mgr”
Task Manager appear click the tab processes then right click set up>prioritize>real time

2)Initial Configuration
Open Server Manager
Make sure that the LAN is connected not x
1. Change Computer Name
 Click Local Service>Locate Computer>System Properties>change
2. Enable Remote Desktop
 Disable>Allow>Ok
3. Configure Ethernet
 Click IPV4>Right click> Properties>IPV4 CTCP/IPv4> Use the
following
IP Address: 143.44.0.1
Subnet Mask: 255.255.0.0
Default Gateway: 143.44.0.2 (Routers IP address)
DNS: 143.44.0.1
 Back to Local Server
4. Set Date and Time
Time Zone:+8
5. Restart the PC to Apply the following.

4) Add Roles
 Server Manager Dashboard
 Add Roles and Features
>next >next>next (Look for your IP address if it is connect)
Check the ff:
 Active Directory Domain Services
 DHCP Server
 Print and Document and Services
 Remote Desktop Services
>Add features all next next next
 Remote Desktop Connection Broker
>Install
>Close

5)Post Deployment Configuration


Commit DHCP
Promote this Server to Domain Controller

 Click “Complete DHCP Configuration”>Commit>Close


 Promote this server to a Domain Controller
 Add a new forest
*Root Domain name:
stnhs.edu>next>type:P@ssw0rd>next>next>next> click install
then the computer will automatically restart.
6)DHCP Configuration
 Go to Tools>DHCP should appear>
Sever Name: StnhsServer
Domain Name: stnhs.edu
*Expand “triangle” (StnhsServer.stnhs.edu)
>Click “domain name”>”Action”>”Authorize”
 Restart Your PC
 Go to Server Manager>Tools>DHCP>Expand and select IPv4>Right Click>New
Scope
Scope Name: STNHS> next
*IP Pool Range
Start: 143.44.0.1
End: 143.44.0.100
*Exclusion and Delay
Start: 143.44.0.1
End: 143.44.0.2 > add
*Subnet Mask: 255.255.0.0
*Lease Duration>next>next>type IP address>add

7)Add User names/Admin Account


>Go to Server Manager>Tools>Active Directory Users and Computers>Expand Domain
Name(StnhsServer.stnhs.edu)
*Create Organizational Unit
>Right click domain name>New Organizational Unit>Type name (STNHS)
*Create User name in “STNHS” (Name)
>Click the single head with bulb at the top
>New Object User
File Nme:Client1
Username Logon name:Client1
Password:P@ssw0rd
>Check “Use Never Expires”
(Same Procedure in creating user Client2-5)
*Creating admin
>User>copy administrator user>paste and type your name>drag your name to
STNHS>open folder

9)Configuring Route
 Make sure to turn on your route
 Reset your router( Hold up to loses)
 Create wire from client to keystone

1. Factory Reset Router


>Default IP address : 192.168.0.1
>Default Password : None

PC should be directly connected to a device

PC----------L-A-N—C-A-B-L-E-----------Router

>Go to Client PC
>Open Google Chrome and Type the IP address of the router on the bar
D-LINK will appear

2. Configure Wifi
SSID = [ Your Name]
Passkey = P@ssw0rd
Save and Connect

3. Change Login Credentials


>Maintenance>Admin>Username> Select radio button> Supply new
password>Click modify

4. Local Network Settings


>Go to Set Up tab > Local Network>DCHP Server>DHCP Mode>Click Dropdown
arrow>Select None> Apply Changes

Changing IP address
IP Address: 143.44.0.2
Subnet Mask: 255.255.0.0

10)Joining Client to a Domain


*Make sure that the server and client are on the same network
*Make sure that the DHCP is providing IP to the client
>On your Client PC
*To check >CMD>Ipconfig> 143.44.0.3
*If the client cant fetch CORRECT IP
Make sure that the PC and client are connected
>Go to CMD>Type ipconfig/release>enter>type ipconfig/renew>enter
*To Join Client:
>Right Click This PC>Change Setting>Click radio button of Domain>Type>stnhs.edu
*Provide Login Credential>Type Client Name(Client1)>Type Password of your
client(P@ssw0rd)>Restart>ALT CRTL DLT>Switch user>other user>login your client
acc.

*Do the same procedure to your client2 (laptop)

11)Remote Desktop Connection


1.On your Client PC
>Make sure that your RDC is allowed or Enabled
*To enable RDC>Right click My Computer>Properties>Click Remote Setting>Allow
2.On your Server
>Search Remote Desktop Connection
>Type your clients IP address>connect
*If you’re not sure with your IP address of your client go to>CMD>Type ipconfig
>Yes>Yes>Yes>
>Other user>Username: Administrator>Passw0rd:P@sw0rd

*Do it first in your Client PC then do the same procedure to your client2(Laptop). Then
after that do it vise versa the client will be your controller or the one will be connect .
*Always use Administrator Account

12)Folder Redirection
>On your server
>Create a folder in Drive D: > Name it Redirection>Right click share with specific
people or everyone>Add client1 and client2>Read/Rewrite>Click Shared
*Creating GPO
>Server Manager>Tools>Group Policy Management>Expand forest>Expand Domain
name>Right click organizational unit and create a GPO
In this domain and link >”Name”>Redirection>Ok
>Right click GPO that you created and edit
>Group Policy Management Editor
>User configuration
-expand policies
-expand windows settings
-select folder redirection
-DESKTOP >right click >basic
-Root Path
How to know the root path
Go to the drive D right click > properties >copy network path then balik sa
(Root Path) then paste
Go to the setting (Desktop Properties)
Uncheck the grant…….user then apply
START MENU (same procedure )
Update the new policy on the client
On client PC>CMD>GPupdate/ force tne enter>yes
Other user >click client 1
Check kung pumasok ung file sa server
-Go to server >folder redirection>double click client 1
-Go to client1 PC >create a folder on your desktop the folder automatically appear on
the server
-Go to your client 2 -same procedure simula sa CMD GPupdate and so on……

14.PRINTER DEPLOYMENT
On your server
*SERVER MANAGER->tools >print management
-print server >expand computer name
-right click print >select add printer
-add new printer using an existing port >add new existing port >next
Add new existing ….select brand and select model >next >share this printer next next
finish
*Create policy
Tools>Group policy management >
