1. It is well said, “Crisis, transition and change occur all through life.” (Page # R35).

There were
many transitions occurred in my life too but the notable transition was getting admission into
foreign college after completing my graduation. It change my whole life style. “The transitions in
our lives are those events, or nonevents, that alter our roles, relationships, routines and
assumptions” (Page # R36) but the transition was anticipated because I was planning for that earlier,
"Anticipated transitions: the major life events we usually expect to be a part of adult life, such as
marrying, becoming a parent, starting a first job or retiring" (Page # R35). As it was expected that I
will be moving out of country for higher education, so, it was not life crisis, "normal and expectable
life events are not themselves life crisis" (Page # 37)

2. Ethnic Identity Formation;

I have been grown up in a society where we are in majority. It was not difficult or I may say I never
realize any issue in ethnic identity formation, “this can be a difficult task for ethnic, minority youth
trying to make sense of themselves in relationship to the dominant or majority group" (Phinney,
1990, page # 21). When I started my under graduation, I realized about ethnic identity issues. “For
change to occur, there must be internal or external stimuli which upset his existing equilibrium,
which cause instability that existing modes of adaptation do not suffice to correct, and which thus
require the person to make new responses and so to expand his personality” (Page # 17), I have
learned a lot new things ever which I never expected to learn if I did not chose to go for higher
education abroad. The upset my existing equilibrium.

3. There are two basic things about generation X. One is, "this generation has watched more TV,
and as a result has probably witnessed more violence, murders, than any other generation in history.
Some resent the baby boomers in a big way. They feel baby boomers spent too much time partying
and messing up the world that they have inherited. Now, the X'ers have to fix it, and they see the
boomers as being in their way. This has made them very cynical (Page # R20) and other side is that
this generation is very advanced in information technology. This generation has witnessed dramatic
changes. These articles works for the theory proposed in Neugarten article. I can witness this as my
father or my elder are not aware of many things I know about the technological advancement.
