What are the benefits of recycling?
Recycling helps protect the environment. Recycling reduces the need for extracting
(mining, quarrying and logging), refining and processing raw materials. All of these
create substantial air and water pollution. As recycling saves energy it also reduces
greenhouse gas emissions, which helps to tackle climate change.

What is the purpose of recycling?

The main reason of recycling is to conserve energy, help the environment, reduce
pollution, slow global warming and lower waste products in landfills. By recycling,
people can have something to do with the earth's overall health and keep the air, water
and land clean.

Why do we need recycling?

Recycling saves energy because the manufacturer doesn't have to produce something
new from raw natural resources. By using recycled materials we save on energy
consumption, which keeps production costs down. Recycling reduces theneed for
more landfills. No one wants to live next to a landfill.

Why is recycling important facts?

Fact 26: Recycling helps to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfills and as a
result less harmful emissions like methane gas are released into the earth's
atmosphere. ... Fact 29: Recycled paper produces approximately 70% less air pollution
than if it was made from raw materials
