Components highlighted in blue can be installed at a later time. JazzSM/TCR require a local instance of DB2.
• Check and ensure that the system meets the hardware and software requirements for TPC 5.2.
• Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 32-bit environments are no longer supported by TPC 5.2. The older
TPC versions need to be migrated to Windows 64-bit environments first. This migration procedure is
provided in our documentation.
• DB2 9.7 32-bit version is no longer supported by TPC 5.2. The DB2 needs to be upgraded to 64-bit
version first. This upgrade procedure is provided in our documentation.
• TPC 5.2 installer will by default uninstall TIP 1.1 or TIP 2.2 which is recommended to reclaim the
system resources. User can choose to preserve the old TIP instance if it is being shared with another
product.

• TPC installer will migrate the TPC authentication settings including the LDAP configuration settings for
the TPC servers.
• TPC 5 database schema has changed for performance and configuration history functions. So,
depending upon on the amount of history data you have, it could take few minutes to several hours for
installer to transform this data. Installer will provide a time estimate. User can choose to drop the
history data.
• If you have any BIRT reports, extract the BIRT reports from TIP.
• If you have created any custom TCR reports, extract the TCR reports from TCR 2.1.1.
• If you have standby server configured for Replication Server, make the Replication instance present on
the other machine active. And the instance on this machine standby.
• If you have standby server configured for Replication Server, make the Replication instance present on
the this upgraded machine active. Now you can migrate the Replication instance present on the other
machine.
• If you have any BIRT reports, import the BIRT reports that you had extracted from older version of
TCR into TCR 3.1.0.1.
