Las unidades 4 y 5 unifican los conceptos relacionados con las estaciones y la forma como
pasamos el tiempo libre en cada una de ellas. Vamos a hablar del clima, de los lugares de
descanso y, muy importante, daremos nuestros primeros pasos en los tiempos gramaticales
presente simple y presente continuo.

Los adverbios de frecuencia que son las palabras que nos indican la frecuencia con que se
realiza una acción. Generalmente se utilizan estos adverbios con el tiempo gramatical
presente simple.

Study Tip
Podemos concluir, entonces, que empleamos el tiempo presente continuo para hablar sobre
acciones que ocurren al momento o alrededor del tiempo en que se habla. Formamos esta
estructura poniendo el verbo to be en la persona adecuada seguido de otro verbo en su
forma presente participio (con -ing). Por ejemplo:
Una acción temporal que tiene lugar alrededor del tiempo de habla:
o The children are doing painting this year.
o They are doing painting this year.

Esta tarea individual tiene como finalidad promover en los participantes la autonomía en el
proceso de aprendizaje a través de la realización de ejercicios de extensión de las unidades
3, 4 y 5.
Indicaciones
Esta tarea debe realizarse en el documento “Tarea 3” (hecho en el procesador de textos
Word) ubicado en la plataforma educativa Paideia PUCP; es importante que siga las
indicaciones que se dan a continuación:
Parte 1
A continuación encontrará un cuadro denominado Study Tip en el cual se
señalan los usos de la coma y del signo de interrogación.
Study Tip
Ahora debe colocar las comas, signos de interrogación y los puntos en donde
corresponda en las oraciones del primer ejercicio.
Luego debe unir las oraciones del siguiente ejercicio empleando los conectores
“and” y “but”, dándoles un sentido lógico.
