‫ۙ﴾ ٰﻣﻠﻚ‬٢﴿‫ۙ﴾ ﻟﺮ ۡﺣ ٰﻤﻦ ﻟﺮﺣ ۡﻴﻢ‬١﴿ ‫ﻟﺤ ۡﻤﺪ ﷲ رب ﻟ ٰﻌﻠﻤ‬

Gratitude is only for God, the Lord of

Ever Merciful; Master of the Day of

Judgment. [Lord!] It is only You
whom we worship and it is only Your
help that we seek. Bless us with the
guidance of the straight path – the path
of those you have blessed, not of those
who have earned your wrath, nor of

(٢٨٦:٢) .‫ ﻟﻘ ۡﻮم ﻟﻜ_^ ۡﻳﻦ‬LZ‫ﻋ‬

Our Lord! Do not hold us
accountable if we forget or make a
mistake. Our Lord! Lay not on us a
burden like that which You did lay
on those before us. Our Lord! Lay
not on us a burden greater than we
have the strength to bear. Pardon us,
forgive us, have mercy on us. You

Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and

our excesses in our affairs and
ground our feet firmly, and help us
against the disbelievers. (3:147)

‫ ﺳ ۡﺒ ٰﺤﻨﻚ ﻓﻘﻨﺎ ﻋﺬ ب‬U‫رﺑﻨﺎ ﻣﺎ ﺧﻠﻘﺖ ٰﻫﺬ ﺑﺎﻃﻶًﻹ‬
ۡ ۤ
‫ و ﻣﺎ‬j‫ﻪ‬W ‫ ۡﻳﺘ‬iK ‫ﻟﻨﺎر رﺑﻨﺎ ﻧﻚ ﻣ ۡﻦ ﺗ ۡﺪﺧﻞ ﻟﻨﺎر ﻓﻘ ۡﺪ‬

‫ﻟﻠﻈﻠﻤ ﻣ ۡﻦ ﻧﺼﺎ ٍر رﺑﻨﺎ ﻧﻨﺎ ﺳﻤ ۡﻌﻨﺎ ﻣﻨﺎد ًﻳﺎ ﻳﻨﺎد ۡي‬
ۡ ٰ
‫ رﺑﻨﺎ ﻓﺎﻏ_ ۡ^ ﻟﻨﺎ‬p ‫ﻟﻶۡﻹ ۡﻳﻤﺎن ۡن ٰ ﻣﻨ ۡﻮ ﺑﺮﺑﻜ ۡﻢ ﻓﺎﻣﻨﺎ‬
ٰ
‫ذﻧ ۡﻮﺑﻨﺎ و ﻛ_ ۡ^ ﻋﻨﺎ ﺳﻴﺎﺗﻨﺎ و ﺗﻮﻓﻨﺎ ﻣﻊ ﻵۡﻹ ۡﺑﺮ ر رﺑﻨﺎ و‬
ۡ ۡ
j‫ﻧﺎ ﻳ ۡﻮم ﻟﻘ ٰﻴﻤﺔ‬ir‫ رﺳﻠﻚ و ﻵﻹ ﺗ‬LٰZ‫ٰ ﺗﻨﺎ ﻣﺎ وﻋ ۡﺪﺗﻨﺎ ﻋ‬
ۡ ۡ
(١٩٤-١٩١:٣) .‫ﻧﻚ ﻵﻹﺗﺨﻠﻒ ﻟﻤ ۡﻴﻌﺎد‬
Our Lord! You have not created

[all] this without a purpose. Glory to

You! Save us from the torment of

the Fire. Our Lord! Indeed, those

whom You admit to the Fire,

indeed, You have humiliated them,

and never will the unjust find any
helpers. Our Lord! Indeed, we have
heard a caller calling to faith:
“Believe in your Lord,” and we
believed. Our Lord! Forgive us our
sins and take away from us our evil
deeds, and make us die with your

loyal people. Our Lord! Fulfill the
promises you made with us through
Your messengers and disgrace us
not on the Day of Judgement.
Indeed, You never go back on your
promise. (3:191-194)
ۡ ۡ ۤ
‫ﻐ_ ۡ^ ﻟﻨﺎ و ﺗ ۡﺮﺣ ۡﻤﻨﺎ‬t ‫ و ۡن ﻟ ۡﻢ‬u ‫رﺑﻨﺎ ﻇﻠ ۡﻤﻨﺎ )ﻔﺴﻨﺎ‬

(٢٣:٧) .‫ ۡﻳﻦ‬2x‫ﻟﻨﻜ ۡﻮﻧﻦ ﻣﻦ ﻟﺨ‬

‫رﺑﻨﺎ ﻏ_ ۡ^ ﻟﻨﺎ و ﻵﻹﺧﻮ ﻧﻨﺎ ﻟﺬ ۡﻳﻦ ﺳﺒﻘ ۡﻮﻧﺎ ﺑﺎﻵۡﻹ ۡﻳﻤﺎن‬
ۤ ً
‫ ﻗﻠ ۡﻮﺑﻨﺎ ﻏﻶﻹ ﻟﻠﺬ ۡﻳﻦ ٰ ﻣﻨ ۡﻮ رﺑﻨﺎ ﻧﻚ‬Lۡ M ‫و ﻵﻹ ﺗ ۡﺠﻌ ۡﻞ‬
(١٠:٥٩) .‫رء ۡو ٌف رﺣ ۡﻴ ٌﻢ‬
Our Lord! Forgive us and also

forgive our brethren who accepted
faith before us and do not put malice
in our hearts for the believers. Our
Lord! You are indeed very
Compassionate and Merciful. (59:10)

‫ و ﻟﻮ ﻟﺪي و ﻟﻠﻤ ۡﺆﻣﻨ ﻳ ۡﻮم }ﻘ ۡﻮم‬Lۡ ~ ^ۡ _‫رﺑﻨﺎ ﻏ‬

. ‫رﺑﻨﺎ ٰ ﻣﻨﺎ ﻓﺎﻏ_ ۡ^ ﻟﻨﺎ و ۡرﺣ ۡﻤﻨﺎ و ﻧﺖ ﺧ ? ﻟﺮﺣﻤ‬
(١٠٩:٢٣)
Our Lord! We have professed faith;
so, forgive us and have mercy on us.
And You are the best of all who
show mercy! (23:109)

‫ ﻛﻨﺖ ﻣﻦ ﻟﻈﻠﻤ‬Lۡ • p ‫ﻵﻹ ﻟٰﻪ ﻵﻹ ﻧﺖ ﺳ ۡﺒ ٰﺤﻨﻚ‬
(٨٧:٢١)
There is no deity except you. Glory
be to you. I have been unjust [to
myself]. (21:87)

Lord! Grant me from Yourself a

noble child. You are indeed the
hearer of supplications. (3:38)

My Lord! Grant me pious children.

5. To Acquire Patience
ۡ ۡ ۡ ۤ
(١٢٦:٧) . ‫غﻋﻠ ۡﻴﻨﺎﺻ•ۡ ً? وﺗﻮﻓﻨﺎﻣ ۡﺴﻠﻤ‬2„ ‫رﺑﻨﺎ‬
Our Lord! Pour out on us patience,
and make us die as Muslims. (7:126)
6. For Trust in God

ۡ ۤ ٰ

‫ ﻋﻠ ۡﻴﻪ ﺗﻮˆﻠﺖ و ﻫﻮ رب‬j ‫ﺣ ۡﺴ†… ﷲ ‡ ﻵﻹ ﻟٰﻪ ﻵﻹ ﻫﻮ‬

Lord! In You we have put our trust;

to You we turn, and to You we shall
return. (60:4)

Sufficient for us is God and He is the
best of Supporters. (3:173)
7. For Diligence in the Prayer

‫ •… ﻟﻨﺎ ﻣ ۡﻦ ۡﻣﺮﻧﺎ‬Ž‫رﺑﻨﺎ ٰ ﺗﻨﺎ ﻣ ۡﻦ ﻟﺪﻧﻚ ر ۡﺣﻤﺔ و ﻫ‬

Our Lord! Bestow on us mercy from
Yourself and facilitate our affairs
for us in the right way! (18:10)
9. For Effective Communication

‫ۤ ۡﻣﺮ ۡي و ۡﺣﻠ ۡﻞ ﻋﻘﺪة‬Lۡ ~ 2ۡ x‫ ﺻ ۡﺪر ۡي و ﻳ‬Lۡ ~ ‫ ۡح‬2’ ‫رب‬

My Lord! Increase me in knowledge.

(٨٩:٢١) . ‫ ًد و ﻧﺖ ﺧ ? ﻟ ٰﻮرﺛ‬2ۡ „ Lۡ •‫رب ﻵﻹ ﺗﺬ ۡر‬
My Lord! Leave me not single [such
that I die childless]. And indeed You
are the Best of inheritors. (21:89)

My Lord! I seek refuge with You

from the whisperings of the devils.
And I seek refuge with You that
these [devils] come to me [to work
mischief]. (23:97-98)

‫ و ﻧﺖ ۡرﺣﻢ‬2—‫… ﻟ‬Œ‫ ﻣﺴ‬Lۡ • ‫ﻪ‬W ‫و ﻳ ۡﻮب ذ ﻧ ٰﺎدي رﺑ‬

(٨٣:٢١) . ‫ﻟﺮﺣﻤ‬
And remember when Job cried out
to His Lord: “I have been afflicted
with ill-health and You are the Most

Our Lord! Keep us away from the
torment of Hell. Indeed, its torment
is ever-clinging. (25:65)

‫ة ۡﻋ ٍ و‬2™ ‫رﺑﻨﺎ ﻫ ۡﺐ ﻟﻨﺎ ﻣ ۡﻦ زو ﺟﻨﺎ و ذرﻳﺘﻨﺎ‬
(٧٤:٢٥) .‫ﺎﻣﺎ‬ً ‫ۡﺟﻌ ۡﻠﻨﺎ ۡﻟﻠﻤﺘﻘ ۡ ﻣ‬
Our Lord! Bestow on us the comfort
of our eyes from our wives and
children, and make us the leaders of

(١٥:٤٦). ‫ﻣﻦ ﻟﻤ ۡﺴﻠﻤ‬Lۡ • ‫ ﺗ ۡﺒﺖ ﻟ ۡﻴﻚو‬Lۡ •
Lord! Take hold of me so that I can
express my gratitude to You for the
favours You have bestowed on me
and on my parents, and to do
righteous deeds that will please

18. For the Well-Being of Parents

My Lord! Have mercy on my
parents the way they cared for me
when I was small. (17:24)

O Lord! Forgive our living and our
dead, those [who are] present [here]
and those who are not and forgive
our young ones and old ones, our
men and our women. Lord! Whoever

is in your refuge and in the covenant
of your asylum. So, protect him

‫ ﷲ ﻋﻠ ۡﻴﻪ‬LZ‫ أﺳ ْﻴ ٍﺪ ﻗﺎل ﻗﺎل رﺳﻮْل ﷲ ﺻ‬LÅ‫ﻋ ْﻦ أ‬

‫ ْﻢ ﻟﻤ ْﺴﺠﺪ ﻓﻠﻴﻘ ْﻞ ﻟﻠﻬﻢ‬Š‫وﺳﻠﻢ إذ دﺧﻞ أﺣﺪ‬

L•‫ج ﻓﻠﻴﻘ ْﻞ ﻟﻠﻬﻢ إ‬2K ‫ أ ْﺑﻮ ب ر ْﺣﻤﺘﻚ وإذ‬L~ ‫ﻓﺘﺢ‬

‫أ ْﺳﺄﻟﻚ ﻣ ْﻦ ﻓﻀﻠﻚ‬

he should say: ‫ ْﺑﻮ ب ر ْﺣﻤﺘﻚ‬L~ ‫( ﻟﻠﻬﻢ ﻓﺘﺢ‬O

God! Open for me the doors of your

mercy) and when he leaves it,
ْ ٰ he
should say: ‫ أ ْﺳﺄﻟﻚ ﻣ ْﻦ ﻓﻀﻠﻚ‬L•‫( ﻟﻠﻬﻢ إ‬O
God! I seek from you your
blessings).”15

12. When Responding to the Ādhān
ْ ٰ
‫ﻤﺔ‬Ê‫ﻟﻠﻬﻢ رب ﻫﺬه ﻟﺪ ْﻋﻮة ﻟﺘﺎﻣﺔ و ﻟﺼﻶﻹة ﻟﻘﺎ‬
ً ‫ْﻌ ْﺜﻪ ﻣﻘ‬± ‫آت ﻣﺤﻤ ًﺪ ﻟْﻮﺳ ْﻴﻠﺔ و ﻟْﻔﻀ ْﻴﻠﺔ و‬
‫ﺎﻣﺎ‬
‫ﻮد ﻟﺬي وﻋ ْﺪﺗﻪ‬ ً ‫ﻣ ْﺤﻤ‬
O Lord of this complete call and of

13. To acknowledge God’s Power

‫ﻟﻠﻬﻢ ﻵﻹ ﻣﺎﻧﻊ ﻟﻤﺎ أ ْﻋﻄ ْﻴﺖ وﻵﻹ ﻣ ْﻌﻄﻲ ﻟﻤﺎ ﻣﻨ ْﻌﺖ وﻵﻹ‬
ْ ْ ْ ْ
‫ﻳﻨﻔﻊ ذ ﻟﺠﺪ ﻣﻨﻚ ﻟﺠﺪ‬
O Lord! Whomsoever You have
given, no one can stop him [from
receiving it], and no one can give the

between poverty and affluence and
want a blessing which will never
end and the contentment of the eyes
which will never cease, and seek the
courage to be happy at Your
decisions and seek the serenity of
life after death, and seek from You

Gratitude is only for God, the Lord of

the worlds; the Most Gracious, the

Ever Merciful; Master of the Day of

what is good, and protect us from

the punishment of the Fire! (2:201)

are our Protector and help us against

the disbelievers. (2:286)

(١٤٧:٣) .‫ ﻟﻘﻮۡم ﻟﻜ_^ ۡﻳﻦ‬LZ‫ﻧﺎ ﻋ‬2ۡ 3‫ﻗﺪ ﻣﻨﺎ و ﻧ‬

Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and

[all] this without a purpose. Glory to

You! Save us from the torment of

the Fire. Our Lord! Indeed, those

whom You admit to the Fire,

indeed, You have humiliated them,

(٢٣:٧) .‫ ۡﻳﻦ‬2x‫ﻟﻨﻜ ۡﻮﻧﻦ ﻣﻦ ﻟﺨ‬

Our Lord! We have been unjust to

ourselves. If You do not forgive us

and not have mercy on us, we shall

certainly be among the losers. (7:23)

Our Lord! Forgive me and my

parents, and all the believers on the

Day when accountability will be set

4. To have Pious Children

‫ ﻧﻚ ﺳﻤ ۡﻴﻊ‬U ‫ ﻣ ۡﻦ ﻟﺪﻧﻚ ذرﻳﺔ ﻃﻴﺒﺔ‬Lۡ ~ ‫رب ﻫ ۡﺐ‬

Lord! Grant me from Yourself a

6. For Trust in God

‫ ﻋﻠ ۡﻴﻪ ﺗﻮˆﻠﺖ و ﻫﻮ رب‬j ‫ﺣ ۡﺴ†… ﷲ ‡ ﻵﻹ ﻟٰﻪ ﻵﻹ ﻫﻮ‬

God is sufficient for me. There is no

deity except God. In Him I trust and

ۡ ‫ﺣ ۡﺴﺒﻨﺎ ﷲ ٰ و ) ۡﻌﻢ ﻟۡﻮ‬

7. For Diligence in the Prayer

(٤٠:١٤) .‫ﻘﺒ ۡﻞ دﻋﺂء‬t

O my Lord! Make me one who is

8. For Mercy and Help

9. For Effective Communication

(٢٨-٢٥:٢٠) .Lۡ ~‫ }ﻔﻘﻬ ۡﻮ ﻗ ۡﻮ‬Lۡ •‫ﻣ ۡﻦ ﻟﺴﺎ‬

O my Lord! Open for me my chest.

And ease for me my task. And undo

the knot of my tongue so that people may
