Activities : 1. Teacher recalls the format of a summary and highlights the main points that
should be included in summary writing to the students.
2. Teacher demonstrates on how to skim and scan the text given to look for main
ideas.
3. Students list down the main points from the text given.
4. Students answer the comprehension questions related to the topic given on how
ones faced her bullies and becomes an inspiration to others.
5. Students write down a summary based on the main points they have listed
down.

Activities : 1. Teacher discusses with the students on the dengue fever and the Aedes
mosquitoes that cause the outbreak.
2. Students read the brochure of ‘Get Rid of Aedes’ and answers related questions.
3. In pairs, students list down the activities that should be carried out in housing
estate to make it free from mosquitoes breeding ground.
4. Teacher demonstrates on how to write an informal letter according to the
proper format.
5. Students write simple informal letter to a friend on how to prevent the dengue
outbreak.
