General Objectives:
1. Music of Southeast Asia
a) Geographical, historical and cultural background;

The learner demonstrates understanding of common musical characteristics of the region as well as unique characteristics of a particular
Southeast Asian country.
This learner performs Southeast Asian songs with appropriate pitch, rhythm, expression and style..
Specific Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the learners are expected to:
 explains how the music of a Southeast Asian country relates to its geography and culture;
 listens perceptively to music of Southeast Asia;
 sings songs of Southeast Asia
 analyzes musical elements of selected songs and instrumental pieces heard and performed;
 explores ways of producing sounds on a variety of sources that would simulate instruments being studied
 improvises simple accompaniment to selected Southeast Asian music
 performs on available instruments from Southeast Asia
 evaluates music and music performances applying knowledge of musical elements and style.
