India is a developing economy. It’s prospering in all spheres. Share market is a

compelling determination of the economy and the financial situation of a country.
Share market is an area which fascinates each and every individual who is
craving for more money. Some common phrases are “if we want to earn just try
with share market. This is a good start to start education on investing putting
your money where it can gain greater returns then just earning interest in a high-
interest account.
The Edelweiss Group is one of India’s leading diversified financial services
conglomerates providing a broad range of financial products and services to a
substantial and diversified client base that includes corporations, institutions and
individuals.
Every broking institution is led by a highly regarded management team that
invests thousands of rupees into a world class infrastructure, Technology and
Research that provides their clients real-time service. The methodology includes
collection of data with the help of employees and research desk the data has been
collected from Edelweiss Research.
The objectives of the study include:-
(A) To study financial statements of Edelweiss.
(B) To know on what major factors research suggests.
(C) To know how technical and charting helps in stock.
(D) To know the investor’s preference in different sectors of investment.
The study can be biased to the extent of personal perception, historical nature of
data collection and of the time limit. Observation is related to research calls and
data and the clients who invest accordingly. Findings are authentically based on
the collected data, attempting to answer the objectives.
As beginners we should understand one thing , if we are planning to invest in
share market first we have to categorize our self. Are we a long term investor? Or
Are we a short term investor ?(Daily trading).

4. How To Research Stocks With An Example?
Stock:- A stock is a general term used to describe the ownership certificates of
any company. A share, on the other hand, refers to the stock certificate of a
particular company. Holding a particular company's share makes you a
shareholder.
How to Start Researching Stocks
You most likely wouldn't make a major investment in a product—like a car, for
example—without first doing some research on your preferred model and its
closest competitors. You shouldn't invest in stocks without knowing something
about the business, either.
Owning stocks is nothing more than owning pieces of various businesses.
Businesses that issue stock are required to produce and publish public reports,
and those public reports are where you should begin when you're deciding which
stocks you should buy.
Reading a Company's Annual Report
OK, now you've got several companies' annual reports in hand. How do you read
them to get the information you need?
They'll probably seem like Greek at first, so you might consider meeting with a
financial advisor for a quick lesson.
Yes, you'll pay for his time, but in the end, you'll gain an invaluable
understanding.
Reading an annual report is the key to being able to value a company. With a
little bit of practice, you can learn how to look at the numbers and see what
appears to really be going on within the company. Concepts such as accounting
goodwill, depreciation, and diluted shares outstanding will begin to make sense.

5. Example-PSP Project Ltd-An Efficient Growth Story.
We are a multidisciplinary construction company offering a diversified range of
construction and allied services across industrial, institutional, government,
government residential and residential projects in India. We provide our services
across the construction value chain, ranging from planning and design to
construction and post-construction activities to private and public sector
enterprises. Historically, we have focused on projects in the Gujarat region. We
have completed and continue to undertake construction projects in this region.
More recently, we have geographically diversified our portfolio of services and
are undertaking or have bid for projects pan India.
Over the years, we have successfully executed a number of prestigious projects
across Gujarat. One of the first major projects that we completed was the
construction of the GCS Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre
(managed by the Gujarat Cancer Society) in June 2012. Further, we have
completed or are currently undertaking projects for a number of reputed
customers, including, inter alia, Cadila Healthcare Limited, Care Institute of
Medical Sciences Limited (CIMS), Claris Injectables Limited, Emcure
Pharmaceuticals Limited, Gelco Electronics Private Limited, GCS Medical
College, Hospital and Research Centre (managed by the Gujarat Cancer Society),
the Government of Gujarat (through the Executive Engineer, Capital Project
Division), Inductotherm (India) Private Limited, Intas Pharmaceutical Limited,
Kaira District Co-operative Milk Producers’ Union Limited (Amul Dairy), KHS
Machinery Private Limited, Nirma Limited, Sabarmati River Front Development
Corporation Limited, Torrent Pharmaceuticals Limited and WTC Noida
Development Company Private Limited.
Pros
PSP has achieved strong brand recall and recorded a stellar performance in
its small life of existence.
The company gets consistent repeat orders from clients, like Zydus-Cadila,
Claris, Torrent Pharma and Amul. PSP is also constructing six out of eight
large private building projects in ‘GIFT City’ Ahmedabad.
With 37 projects worth (order book INR 2,745 cr) at different stages of
execution, PSP’s revenue is likely to grow at 50% CAGR over FY17-20E to
21 | P a g e
reach INR 1,516 cr in FY20E and EBITDA margin of the company will
remain in the range 13% –14%.
Cons
Delay in execution of Surat Diamond bourse.
Key man risk attached with current MD & CEO Mr. P.S.Patel

Key highlights observed

PSP has achieved strong brand recall and recorded a stellar performance in
its small life of existence. The company has completed 97 projects within a
decade of its operating history and ticket size of an average project also
moved to multi-level high from INR 24 cr in FY14 to INR 100 cr currently.
The company gets consistent repeat orders from clients, like Zydus-Cadila,
Claris, Torrent Pharma and Amul. Our Chairman and Managing Director
and CEO, namely Prahaladbhai Shivrambhai Patel, who is also our
Promoter, has been associated with the construction business for over 30
years and has been instrumental in the growth of our Company.
The lack of organized and efficient players in the small ticket sized building
construction space (INR 50-150 cr) has put PSP in a sweet spot and
successful completion of SDB will make the company eligible for projects
more than INR1,000 cr where competition is limited into 5-6 large players.
Timely execution and proficient project selection aid efficient capital
management for PSP. The company has no legacy receivable from the past,
nor are there any significant instances of retention monies being
withheld/performance bank guarantees invoked by the clients etc. PSP has
the best working capital cycle in the sector and is expected to remain an
efficient capital allocator going forward.

9. Challenges Faced During Autumn Internship.
The Challenges that I faced during our autumn internship was time management.
My company mentor was so busy between 9:15 am to 03:30 pm, Monday to
Friday. During these period I can not ask so much questions regarding stock
market.
The main Challenge that I faced was to convince new people to invest and get
involved in the stock market. In India only a very small percentage of the
population invest in the stock markets. There is very little awareness about
investment opportunities that exists.
The Challenge that I faced during one month that our mentor didn’t provide
personal computer with trading market so that I can also watched in deeply.
People also have the preconceived opinion that investment in the stock markets is
a risky business they are happy to invest in various other sources like banks,
property, Jewellery, etc. They are of the opinion that once you have invested your
money in the stock market it will never come back. Also they are not ready to
trust a private company that would manage their investments. They prefer to
invest in public sector banks and other government companies. They are not at all
comfortable with the idea of investment in the stock markets even if it could earn
if it could earn them better returns. They are comfortable with whatever they are
earnings are not ready to explore new areas.

10. Recommendations and Suggestions.
The one month that I spend in the company and having closely observed the
working I would suggest the following points that I feel would benefit the
company and help them attract more clients towards it. Followings are as :-
 The brokerage plans that the company has been designed according to the
needs of the people who are already investing in the stock markets. There is
nothing for the people who are new to the market and want to invest with
small amount of money initially.

 The brand awareness of the company among people is very low as

compared to its competitors and the company has to take steps to create
awareness among the people. This can be done by spending more on
advertisements, sponsorship, promotions, etc.

 The company should try to concentrate on tier B and C town which are
rapidly growing and are the new emerging markets. There is lots of
potential in these markets. The company should try and expands in these
markets by of branch offices or franchisees.

 The company is also very rigid in its approach they are not ready to give
discounts beyond a certain point even if it means losing a clients. The
company should be flexible in its approach and brokerage plans in order to
get new clients.

 The company should must be department wise section in the branch offices
so that it easy to all of us.

11. Observation.
The starting three days of my internship were spent interacting with the company
leaders and getting a foray into the various businesses of Edelweiss. My scope
of work during internship was to generate business for the company by way of
filling Demat application forms. I was given intensive training during the starting
of our internship about how to fill the forms .

During my internship I got the training regarding how to call the customers
to investing in the stock market , sometime they asked me to go the clients house
regarding signature of the clients on documentations like Aadhar Card, Pan Card,
etc.. Earlier I had no knowledge about the stock market and how it work but after
completed my internship I had little bit knowledge about the Stock market.

My major learning was constant filling application form of Demat Account.

During my internship period I also had the opportunity to test my selling skills
and my ability to convince people.

Our mentor said that go and read money control news most of the time I read
only money control news like what is price of SBI share, Is it fallen or above, Is
it good or bad for investing money in the SBI in the stock market , etc… and
basically I learnt from the Edelweiss that Discipline , how you can work in the
corporate world.
I read money control news and found that there are two varities of listed
companies one is Top five gainers and another one is Top five losers…

Read about currency live rates.

12. Conclusion
The one month that I have spent in my internship period would be a good period
of this year in which I learned little bit about stock market and its functioning . I
also do some paper work like Demat account filling, etc. I got fair knowledge
about how to work in a corporate environment and how to absorb pressure.
I learned things that are not found in books and those can only be learned when
you are out in the field talking to people. I believe this will help me in the future.
The best part was the training sessions that were taken by senior persons in the
company to let us know about the various products of the company and how to
approach the clients with these products.
Overall I would say that the one month of my internship was good and nice
experience. I will always keep in mind through my life.
