Chapter 6

SOCIOECONOMIC FEASIBILIY

Contribution to the Community

Our business requires insight for the current and future needs of our target
market and social demands. We have the opportunity to utilize this insight to create and
enhance services that we can offer to our customers. The proposed business will benefit
the economy through providing employment. This will give the hired employees and
their families a source of income for their living needs. Given the capabilities to provide
a true and affordable home to those who long for the care of their family, “The Capitol
Residences” ensures that every moment spent in our residential building will be
peaceful and secured. Providing them with the best quality services at the most
reasonable price.

What can “The Capitol Residences” contribute to its community? We provide the
citizens of Aklan a better place to live within the Municipality of Kalibo. Kalibo has
gradually been developing more and more lately, so we wanted to be part of that
growth. People from different parts of the province come and live here in Kalibo to find
suitable jobs where they can support and sustain the needs of their families back home.
This gives us the opportunity to provide a home where they can call their own, a home
where they can feel safe and secured. “The Capitol Residences” creates connection, a
large close knit family within its occupants and also the community.

The goals and strategies of “The Capitol Residences” are to provide unique
services for its occupants and also for the people outside our organization. This enables
us to share our knowledge, collaborate on being socially aware and responsible towards
planning, and establish joint initiatives because it is highly beneficial for the relationship
with the community and its social responsibilities.

Contribution to the Personnel

The personnel plays an important role in every business whether how big or
small. They provide a huge factor in order for an establishment to run successfully.
Providing a personnel with a reasonable pay, benefits and an opportunity to provide for
their needs and their families needs are the keys to ensuring that our employees do
their hundred percent best in keeping our company running.
In order to meet this global strategy of attracting, developing and retaining the
best people in the industry, it will provide opportunities for its employees to grow, hone
their skills and maximize their career goals. It will strive for a more diverse work force
that reflects the province in which it is located, operate with a commitment to fair
treatment to all employees, and comply with local employment laws and customs.

Contribution to the Government

As the business was permitted to operate and all the legal requirements has
been submitted then “The Capitol Residences” has already contributed to its
government. By providing jobs to people who are unemployed this will also decrease
the unemployment rate in the province.

It will also provide a good image for the province and invite more investors to
invest. Every business is obliged to pay their own taxes which are imposed by the
government.

As this business was implemented its mission, vision, goals and objectives will be
to give the best services “The Capitol Residences” has to offer to their occupants and
taking our part of giving back to the community.

Contribution to the Beneficiaries

“The Capitol Residences” was established to answer the needs of the rapid
increase of workers and students who wants to have a place to call their own here in the
Municipality of Kalibo. Aside from its primary purpose there is also some businesses that
will also benefit when “The Capitol Residences” is implemented such as Albertos Pizza,
Garcia College of Technology Annex Building, Palawan Pawnshop, Cebuana Padala, and
other businesses in the area. It can increase their sales by giving them a chance to
provide the daily needs of those people who would chose to live in “The Capitol
Residences”.
Chapter 7

“The Capitol Residences” has conducted a series of surveys through the use of
questionnaires and also interviews to know whether the business is feasible or not. We
asked questions regarding business operations, activities and prices. We conducted
surveys on possible customers and target markets on what the business can offer and
what their preferences are. We also conducted interviews with some other businesses
with the same scope of customers and also individuals who may have ideas and
opinions on the business industry.

This chapter will also discuss the results of the surveys we conducted and the
number of people who answered the questionnaires regarding the business and the
time table of the operation of the business including the description of the activities.
There are also some topics that will be discussed like the period and duration of the
implementation of the business. Then finally we will also discuss about the
recommendations and conclusions of the study.

Results of the Interviews

The researchers conducted surveys by giving questionnaires to potential

customers and interviewing existing businesses which is similar to “The Capitol
Residences”. As from the last topic, according to some people that we interviewed the
condominium units should be spacious, affordable and safe.

As the surveys continues it now leads to the materials and resources that will be
needed in implementing the business. We gathered information that can be useful for
the improvement of the proposed business. Some businesses in the same industry
shared some important views and information that could be useful in the further
implementation of the business.

Survey Results

The method used in gathering information is the survey method, where we gave
questionnaires consisting of four questions to potential customers and other target
markets of the proposed business. We surveyed fifty (50) respondents to represent the
total population of our target market. Using personal income class and household
income class as basis for the survey questions.
