“Black”

He’s not a stranger to the dark

He’s just a person who is dark
Darkness outside of him bothers you most
Lightness inside him you ignore the most

Strong, rigid and firm

That’s the person you called “itom”
King of darkness you said
Blacky and Black American instead

“We can’t see you in dark”

“Don’t touch me I’m turning dark”
I am that person you called “itom”
And it’s okay ‘because I’m immune

I will remain strong

And stand in front of you with no wrong
I will rise up like a day
And do it a thousand times again everyday
“I’m afraid to lose you my love”
Because of you my life has change
My savior that no one can change
Omniscient, victorious warrior
Losing you can’t be my favor

Circle of strength with love and care

Bring us happiness everywhere
One for everyone, all for one
Oh! My kin, can’t lose you my one

The reason of all my laughter

The reason of all my displeasures
Joy I felt, can’t express my crew
Oh co-squad! I’m scared to lose you

Still remembered the day we met

T’was magical ‘till it turns wet
I’m captivated by your light
Baby! Can’t lose you day and night
“John the Baptist”
This time I would like to share a story about a boy. A
boy has a courage and hope that he will be a successful and
professional teacher someday. Before I go to his future let
me share his past experience first. His father’s name is Mr.
Anthony Taping Talotalo and his mother’s name is Mrs.
Amelita Delposo Talotalo. He was born on June 24, 1999 at
Balindog, Kidapawan City but he grew up at Pangao-an,
Magpet, Cotabato. He has 4 siblings named Van Patrick
Talotalo the oldest brother, Mae Anthonette Talotalo the
elder sister and Dennis Earl Talotalo the eldest brother. His
oldest brother has a wife and a baby boy.
The boy keeps on transferring his elementary school
because his mother’s job is not stable and assigned her in
different places. His grade I memory is at Pangao-an
Elementary School at Pangao-an, Maagpet, Cotabato but
his Grade II- Grade IV is at Marciano Mancera Memorial
Elementary School at Balindog, Kidapawan City and his
Grade V – Grade VI is at Tandag Pilot Elementary School
and finished his elementary program in there at Surigao del
sur, Tandag City.
After he finished his elementary he came back at
Pangao-an to persue his high school program, and that
school gave him a wonderful, colorful and enthusiastic life
experience that he could never forget in his entire life. When
he became 2nd year high school, he became a member of
Pangao-an National High School Dance Force (PNHS
Dance Force), and that was the beginning of his life as a
dancer, because of that school he realizes that he is a good
dancer and he can be a better dancer someday. He danced
Folk Dance, Contempoary Dance, Modern Dance,
Modern/Hip hop Dance, Hip hop Dance, Robotic Dance,
Ballroom Dances, Belly Dance and Lyrical Hip hop Dance.
At the age of 13 the boy and his co-dancers went to
manila to attend the National Science Quest and compete
Robotic Dance held at Teacher’s Camp, Baguio City and
proclaimed as 2nd placer it was his first time in Manila, that
first time realizes him that life is wonderful you just need to
discover it. His second time in Manila is February 2015,
they competed again and this time it is not Robotic Dance
but a Science Modern Technology Dance (Sci-Mod Tech
Dance) held at Pasig City Philippines. It is a Modern/Hip
hop with a concept of science or technology, environment
and etc. and got the champion in whole Philippines, they
represented the whole Region XII for that competition and
for the Robotic Dance as well.
Because of that school learns how to dance because in
his elementary he never encountered dancing in many
audiences, he learns how to divide his academic performance
and extra-curricular activities like dancing. When he
finished his high school he awarded as a 5th Honorable
Mention, best in MAPEH, best in Foods Trade, best in
Beauty Care (Hair and Make-up), best in extra-curricular,
National Certificate Level II (NC II) in Bread and Pastry
Production and Student Supreme Government award.
When he went to college he enrolled at University of
Southern Mindanao Main Campus and took a program of
Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSE). He joined the
competition of Hip hop in Kaliline 2015 and got the 4th
placer. Their Physical Education subject have a Zumba
Dance competition and no one is exempted on that because
it has grade and for almost 4,000 1st years he won the price
of 1,000 php and got exempted on the final exam. After the
first semester he transfer in University of Southern
Mindanao Kidapawan City Campus an extension school of
USM Main Campus, he took the same program he took at
the main campus. He is now a third year college student and
he took Major in English.
The boy I was talking about is Mr. John Anthony
Paracuelles Taping Delposo Talotalo and that is me but yu
can call me by your choice. I am 19 years old. Before I end
up this story I would like to share where my name came
from, my first name “John” came from John the Baptist
because I was born on June 24 and that was the fiesta of
Saint John the Baptist and the “Anthony” is came from my
father’s name. This is my story all about, thank you for
reading I hope you’d enjoy it.
