E67BC1704, E67BR1704 Polane P Black Conductive Primer is a low bake, low VOC, two component urethane designed to
provide superior adhesion to various rigid plastic substrates. The highly conductive film facilitates electrostatic application of
topcoats for improved transfer efficiency.

SURFACE PREPARATION
 Thoroughly clean bare substrates with SC159 Plastic Cleaner / Anti-static to remove all mold release or
power wash agents.
 Follow with a deionized water rinse.

SUITABLE SUBSTRATES
 SMC  PC/ABS
 ABS  Black Conductive In-Mold Coating
 Nylon  Sanded DCPD

MIXING
 Agitate E67BC1704/E67BR1704 thoroughly before using.
 Mix by volume 4 parts E67BC1704, E67BR1704 with 1 part V66V27 hardener and 2 parts VS100.

VS100 reducer.
 Mix well. Pot life: 6 hours at 75F

REDUCER TEMPERATURE RANGE


VS100 50-75°F

APPLICATION
1. Apply 1 wet coat of E67BC1704, E67BR1704 at a distance of 8-10 inches with 50% overlap.
2. Apply approximately 3.5 wet mils to achieve 1 mil dry.
3. E67BC1704, E67BR1704 can be applied using conventional, HVLP or electrostatic equipment.
4. Apply topcoat within 6 months of E67BC1704, E67BR1704 application.

DRYING SCHEDULE
 Ambient Flash: 10 minutes.
 Final Bake: 30 minutes at a minimum part temperature of 180 °F, 15 minutes at 200°F, or any previously
tested cure conditions.
 For air dry application, V66V27 must be used.
 E67BC1704, E67BR1704 Polane P Black Conductive Primer will accommodate alternative drying
schedules. Consult Sherwin-Williams representative for feasibility assessment.
Note: E67BC1704 and E67BR1704 are the same product but filled in different containers.
