Gau Seva

by EternalReligion.org
This is the scene everywhere in India. Cows eating plastic
bags, and other trash. Cows wondering around trash cans,
looking for food. There is no grass left, the natural food for
cows.
Everywhere in India, you will find cows near trash cans,
looking for food, because there is no grass. The humans are
destroying the grass and trees and replacing them with
cement (buildings).
Cows are supposed to be of the same class as swans, but
they have become crows due to humans. The swans would
never be found near filth.

There should be Grass and Trees Everywhere
Why We Need Grass and Trees

1. Grass and trees provide food and shelter for cows,

monkeys, and birds.
2. The trees provide food for humans (fruits and vegetables).
3. Plant life provide oxygen which is needed by all living
beings.
4. Plant life reduces the dust and pollution in the air.
5. Seeing grass and trees is good for all living beings,
especially the human beings. It helps to reduce stress, calms
the mind down, reduces anger, and so on.
Humans are turning natural land into buildings and cement paving,
destroying grass and trees. Depriving cows, birds, and monkeys of
food and all living beings of oxygen. The destruction of plant life
also increases the pollution, dust in the atmosphere, and an increase
in global warming.

Please STOP this madness.

Plant trees, grass, and keep some land open for the benefit of cows,
birds, monkeys, and people.
What is Leather?
Leather is mainly made from cows. Hindus don’t
eat cows but they sit on them. Unfortunately most
Hindus buy leather furniture like sofas, car seats,
and clothing like leather jackets.

Cow eaters and cow furniture/clothing users are

equally responsible for killing the cows.

Please STOP buying leather furniture and clothing.

What happens to cow killers?
Lord Caitanya, who was an incarnation of
Lord Krishna, states in the Caitanya
Caritamrta, Adi-lila chapter 17, verses 165-
167.

“Cow-killers are condemned to rot in

hellish life for as many thousands of years
as there are hairs on the body of the cow.”
What is EternalReligion.org doing to
help the cows, birds, monkeys, and
people?
1. Setting good examples for others to follow
2. Preaching the importance of cow seva

Rishikesh Bungalow Garden

The garden at our home has more than 15 trees and grass, including Tulsi.
The grass is cut every 2 weeks and feed to the cows. The monkeys and birds
eat the flowers, leaves, and fruits from the trees almost daily.

What is Pure Bhakti?

The pure Krishna conscious person lives for the ultimate welfare of all
living beings. He does not think only of himself. We find a prayer by a
pure devotee, Prahlada Maharaja, in the Srimad Bhagavatam as
follows.

"May there be good fortune throughout the universe, and may all
envious persons be pacified. May all living entities become calm by
practicing bhakti-yoga, for by accepting devotional service they will
think of each other's welfare. Therefore let us all engage in the service
of the supreme transcendence, Lord Sri Krishna, and always remain
absorbed in thought of Him. (Srimad Bhagavatam 5.18.9)

A sincere practitioner of bhakti-yoga will think of and do something

for the welfare of all living beings.
Pure devotees are those who are always busy working for the welfare
of all living beings.

“Those who are beyond the dualities that arise from doubts, whose
minds are engaged within, who are always busy working for the
welfare of all living beings and who are free from all sins achieve
liberation in the Supreme.” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 5.25)
Become Vegan?

Instead of not drinking milk and not taking milk

related items. It is far better to drink milk and eat
milk related items, and use the intelligence and
energy to do something to protect and serve cows.

“The mercantile class is also required to give

protection to the cows in order to get sufficient milk
and milk products, which alone can give the proper
health and intelligence to maintain a civilization
perfectly meant for knowledge of the ultimate
truth.” (Swami Srila Prabhupada SB 2.5.37)
The body can be maintained by any foodstuff,
but cow’s milk is most essential for the
development of the finer tissues of the human
brain. Which is essential for understanding
transcendental knowledge. (Srimad-
Bhagavatam)

Basically without drinking cow’s milk, the

humans will eventually become zombies. With
no ability to understand and know God.
Follow Swami Srila Prabhupada

Swami Srila Prabhupada is an Acharya, he set

examples for others to follow. He taught us by his
example the importance of drinking milk by
personally taking hot milk every evening as part of
his standard diet. So milk is that very special food
given by God that helps us to develop our brains for
understanding the science of God (Krishna
consciousness). Therefore it is recommended that
all devotees should regularly take milk as part of
their daily food intake and also preach Krishna
Consciousness to others.
Do all Cow milk drinkers get transcendental
knowledge?

It’s not just by drinking cows milk that one develops the
ability to understand transcendental knowledge, of which
knowing God in full is the topmost transcendental
knowledge. The non-Vedic followers also drink cows milk,
but they are completely Godless. They cannot describe
God. For them, God is invisible, unseen, unknown, and
unknowable. There is ZERO knowledge of God in the
non-Vedic scriptures.

It’s the appreciation and acceptance of the cows as

mother that gives the potency to understand
transcendental knowledge.
Why are Cows called a Mother?

It is the Vedic teaching that the cow is called a

mother, because her milk is drunk. Thus if one
does not drink her milk, it makes no sense to
call her a mother. By becoming a vegan, one
cannot call the cow a mother, because her milk
is not drunk. If everyone becomes a vegan, as
well as becoming zombies, the cows would
serve no value to humans, and thus they would
be killed.
How can cows benefit from humans drinking her milk?

If the cows milk is offered to Lord Krishna and then

drunk. This would benefit the soul in the cow’s body.

Drinking cows milk is beneficial for the souls in the

human and cow bodies.
Everything is related to cows
Weather

Crops

Rain

Human health

Oxygen

Wars

Natural disasters (floods, droughts, earth quakes, hurricanes

etc.)

Human mentality

In the body of every cow is the potency of the 33 categories of

demigods, which number in the millions. The demigods maintain
everything in the universe.
Cow Killing = Insult to demigods = maintenance is disrupted = everything falls apart
Nutritional Benefits
of Cow Milk

Cows milk is called the most complete

and perfect food, because it contains all
kinds of nutrients that are needed for
good health.
Transcendental Advice:
Drink Cow Milk and do Cow Seva
The Importance of Cows to Lord Krishna
The Supreme Person, lives eternally on Goloka. ‘Go’ means
cow and ‘loka’ means planet, thus He lives on the cow planet.
The Supreme Person, is addressed by many names including
‘Gopala’ on His abode, Goloka (cow planet). ‘Gopala’ means
the one who takes care of the cows.
The occupation of the Supreme Person, is simply to take of
the cows and play with His loving devotees. He is a cowboy.
This is the real God.
The Supreme Person, serves cows Himself, because He is
truly merciful, loving, and free from ego.

“The cows, the bulls and the calves were thoroughly smeared with a
mixture of turmeric and oil, mixed with varieties of minerals. Their
heads were bedecked with peacock feathers, and they were garlanded
and covered with cloth and golden ornaments.” (Srimad-Bhagavatam 10.5.7.)
