Declaration of Independence of the Modern World

Declaration of Independence is one of the American Ideals that existed for many centuries. It is made up
of equality, rights, liberty, opportunity, and democracy. Some Americans lived up to this American Ideal
but the same rules didn’t apply for everyone. United States is a huge and diverse country so many people
are different in our nation.

Americans learned about the history of their own economy and politics and admits that they follow the
DOF. However, U.S.A. is not a promising nation for an opportunity. Many foreigners migrate to our
country and they’re not welcome to certain people. Sometimes, the immigrants can be discriminated even
in their workplace or they won’t be accepted in the first place. Although hate speech is a crime, those
individuals don’t fear the fact that they can be sued. Therefore, the discrimination moves on and liberty is
failing to live up to this day.

Liberty is another word for freedom in the U.S. Every one of us have the freedom to express our own
feelings and ideas to improve our nation. And the freedom of speech isn’t the definition of anarchy. There
are limits to the actions we commit. When we speak our mind, we need to remain vigilant and don’t
spread hate speech. But some people uses hate speech and call it freedom of speech. They might not be
wrong, but using peaceful tone is more necessary. Even if people disagreed with what one individual was
saying, they must respect his space and have a proper dispute rather than settling it with violence. But
that’s not always the case. Today, we must be aware about the dangers of having freedom of speech.

Freedom of speech isn’t the only thing being taken away by American society. The freedom to make
living is not possible for many people. This isn’t just about the immigrants, it concerns everyone. Some
people are not qualified to work and it’s not because of their lack of skills. These unemployed individuals
already finished school and have specialities. Some people works in certain organization for a little while
but the workers are fired when they are no longer valuable and not because of their poor cooperation in
the business. For instance, men who served in the army are left on the streets because they were no longer
useful to the military. Since certain people are not economically viable, it tells us that people don’t have
the freedom to work and live like others. Not everyone has equal rights.

In the end, Americans don’t refer back to its politics. Especially when it comes to society. People are
more independent and the law won’t matter a lot to them. Matter of fact, it is a different era and the laws
and politics constantly change century by century. However, people are living up to the American Ideals
in some ways. Some people tend to be equal to all the people by giving them the opportunity to use
freedom of speech. But this rarely happens in our nation. So after all, Declaration of Independence is not
alive.
