Statement of the Fine

It is expected to be confirmed today, June 4, 2019, by the Trustees of the Fine Arts Museums of San
Francisco (FAMSF), that Diane B. Wilsey will assume the role of Chair Emerita of the FAMSF Board
and Chair Emerita of the Board of the Corporation of the Fine Arts Museums (COFAM). It is also
expected that the Trustees will confirm that Jason Moment will succeed Mrs. Wilsey as President of
the FAMSF Board and Chair of the COFAM Board. Mrs. Wilsey, who has expressed the intention of
dedicating more time to the needs of her family, has served since 1998 as President and Chair and
has worked closely with Mr. Moment since he joined the Boards in 2014. Mr. Moment has served on
the Executive Committees since 2017. The Board expresses its gratitude to Mrs. Wilsey and Mr.
Moment for their past and future leadership and looks forward with confidence to the continued
success of the de Young Museum and the Legion of Honor.
