ACTUALIZACION AIM-CUE A VERSION 7.

Por favor antes de realizar el procedimiento de Actualización a continuación, es necesario realizar el BK
de la configuración del CUE por medio del comando “show run” en el CLI del propio CUE, así como
también el BK de los archivos de Audio y Scripts del AutoAttendant y almacenarlos localmente a través
de la Pág Web del CUE (System – [Prompts|Scripts] - Download).

1. ACTUALIZACION DE LA LICENCIA PARA 115 MAILBOXES Y 16 VOICE PORTS EN AIM:

Para actualizar la Licencia es necesario ingresar a la siguiente dirección: www.cisco.com/go/license

Una vez allí, en la parte inferior damos click en el link en “Register for a Migration LIcense”:

Y posteriormente ingresamos la Información correspondiente:

El Product Id es “AIM-CUE” y el Serial Number se puede obtener con el comando “show inventory” en
el Router del Equipo donde se encuentra el CUE.
Posteriormente damos click en “Continue” y procedemos a ingresar la información para el producto que
nos interesa actualizar, en este caso ingresar la información tal cual se observa en la figura:
Click en “Continue” y luego confirmamos la información del usuario del CCO de Telmex de quien realice
el procedimiento:
Damos click en “Continue” y confirmamos que toda la info esté correcta (En especial la primera sección
de Product Information):

Y procedemos a dar click en y esperamos unos segundos hasta que nos entregue una pantalla
confirmando el Registro:

Desde allí podremos descargar la licencia directamente dando click en “Download License” o sin
importar lo anterior en aproximadamente 15 minutos se recibirá un correo con la licencia.

Una vez se tenga la licencia es necesario cambiarle el nombre a “<serial>.lic” en donde <serial> equivale
a el número serial del CUE que ingresamos en la página web anteriormente.

Ej: “FOC124831RS.lic”
 2. BACKUP CONFIGURACION CUE:

Ingresamos por Web a la dirección IP del CUE a través del Proxy que también dá acceso a los CUCM:

Luego en el Menú Administration – Backup / Restore - Configuration:

Configuramos los datos del servidor FTP con la dirección IP para cada CUE donde:

Server URL: ftp://172.31.237.151/10.9.23.254 ! La IP del CUE crea una carpeta independiente

User ID: cue
Password: telmex

Click en “Apply” y ahora procedemos a realizar el BK en el menú Administration – Backup / Restore –

Start Backup:

Procedemos a realizar el Backup de la Configuración hacia el Servidor FTP colocando como descripción la
IP del CUE y seleccionando todas las casillas:
Click en Start Backup:

Aceptar para continuar y comienza a realizar el backup:

Click en “Bring Back to Online” para terminar y queda listo el BK en el Servidor con la Carpeta
correspondiente a su IP.
 3. ACTUALIZACION CUE A VERSION 7.2:

Para comenzar la actualización realizamos una prueba de conectividad contra el servidor FTP:

Reiniciamos el modulo y procedemos con la instalación como si fuese la Instalación de un CUE normal
(Cuando se indique en pantalla teclear ***), posteriormente seguimos las instrucciones con los
comandos que se muestran en negrita:

 4. INSTALACION DE LA LICENCIA PARA LA NUEVA VERSION EN EL CUE:

Ahora que tenemos la licencia, se debe subir dicho archivo al servidor FTP cuya dirección IP es
172.31.237.151 para así poder ser descargada desde el CUE. Favor enviar todas las licencias que deben
ser subidas al Servidor FTP a Core Telefonía quienes se encargarán de realizar dicha labor.

Una vez la licencia se encuentra en el Servidor FTP procedemos a realizar la actualización Manual del
CUE-AIM para lo cual debemos ingresar por CLI al módulo.

Se puede comprobar que no tiene licencias activas, solo tiene licencias de evaluación y sin activar, por lo

Con esto quedan las licencias actualizadas y con la nueva versión 7.2 instalada en el AIM-CUE. Ahora
podemos proceder a culminar los detalles de la configuración e Instalación del CUE con la nueva versión
por medio de la pág. Web para que tome correctamente todos los CTI Ports y se registren
correctamente contra el CUCM.
 5. RESTAURACION CONFIGURACION CUE:

Una vez se suben las licencias al CUE al ingresar por Web nos muestra el Wizard inicial para
configurarlo, pero no necesitamos realizar dicha configuración inicial por lo tanto damos click en “Skip
Initialization Wizard and Log off”:

“Login Again” para loguearnos nuevamente:

Y comprobamos que los CTI Ports aparezcan correctamente seleccionados (System-CTI Port):
Ahora, debemos subir nuevamente los archivos de Audio (.wav) y los Scripts (.aef) al CUE de igual
manera que se descargaron:

Una vez arriba debe quedar el AA configurado tal y como se encontraba antes; para esto se pueden
copiar de la configuración del “Show Running” tomado antes de la actualización todas las secciones que
comienzan por “ccn application” Ej:

Se graba la configuración por medio del comando “write” y se confirma que vía Web se refleja la
información correcta del AA como se encontraba antes de la Actualización.

A partir de éste punto se deben comenzar con las pruebas del Servicio verificando que los CTI Route
Points y CTI Ports estén correctamente registrados:

Si los CTI Ports no están registrados por alguna razón debemos expandir los CTI en el CUE dando Click
en:

Y luego seleccionamos los CTI correspondientes:

Click en “Apply”.
Para terminar se deben realizar todas las pruebas de servicio, comparando que toda la configuración
anterior del CUE esté correctamente configurada en la nueva versión, archivos de audio y scripts de AA
correctos y funcionales, CCM, jtapi, CTI Ports, AA, registros, MailBoxes, grupos para IMAP, etc…

Se debe revisar que toda la configuración quede correcta, si es necesario modificar algo en la
configuración para que quede tal y como se encontraba antes de realizar la actualización debe hacerse
en base a los backups tomados antes de actualizar.

Una vez se confirma que el servicio está completamente operacional procedemos a salvar la
Configuración vía Web (para mayor seguridad…):

Administration – Control Panel – Save Configuration:

Luego de varios segundos confirma y luego se dá Click en “Aceptar”:

 6. APENDICE – ROLLBACK
RESTORE DE LA CONFIGURACION ANTES DE LA ACTUALIZACION VIA WEB

El procedimiento descrito a continuación solo se puede realizar si el Backup ha sido realizado

previamente y de si dicho BackUp se realizó con la misma versión de CUE, es decir, este procedimiento
se aplicará si por alguna razón es necesario hacer rollback de la versión de CUE a la 3.1.1 ya que
obviamente para la versión 7.1.1 dicho backup no habría sido realizado.

Ingresamos de nuevo vía Web al CUE y vamos al menú Administration – Backup / Restore –
Configuration y confirmamos la información que dejamos para al realizar el Backup:

Como observamos la dirección IP debe coincidir con la del CUE y es allí en donde se almacenó el backup
inicialmente en el servidor FTP.

Ahora procedemos a realizar el Restore en Administration – Backup / Restore – Start Restore

(seleccionamos el BK tomado anteriormente):

Click en “Start Restore“:

Aceptar y comienza la descarga:

Click en “Reload Unity Express” y una vez suba quedará restaurada la configuración. Se debe tener
presente que dicho backup depende de si los archivos de audio y scripts se encuentran en el CUE y no
han sido eliminados.
