OBJETIVO: El alumno se familiarizara con el
uso de anestésicos en animales de
experimentación, así como el empleo de
material empleado comúnmente en cirugías.
ABSTRACT:
This report is based on the observations of the
surgical material used in surgeries as well as
the realization of sutures and local and general
anesthesia procedures. The realization of these
basic operations allowed us to familiarize
ourselves with the materials and procedures
commonly used in surgeries. We practice basic
suture patterns ("X", Simple point, "U" vertical,
and "U" horizontal) on Chinese paper and
on a chicken leg. In local anesthesia we use ice
to relax a section of the hand for five and ten
minutes, we quantify the recovery time in both
cases. In general anesthesia we use a bottle
with ether to numb the subject, we quantify the
time of anesthesia and recoveryWe applied an
overdose of sodium pentobarbital to the rat
(Rattus Norvergicus) taking into account the
weight of the subject and the indications of the
bottle. With the knowledge of the suture patterns
and the experience of having performed local
and general anesthesia procedures, the
objective of the practice was fulfilled.
