A year of DML

The first CBA I did was my company logo. The logo

was based on a dog’s head and I made it out of
basic shapes. I enjoyed doing it because it was fun
to come up with the design and make it. The
newsletter CBA was supposed to be a newsletter
made by my company. I used tables and text boxes
to create the panels and front page text. I did not
enjoy making it as I felt it was hard to make by
myself. For the van CBA we had to design a van that
would be used by our company. I made it using a
design website for the van and put an image of my
logo on it. I enjoyed it as it was easy to do. For the
flyer CBA we had to design a flyer advertising our
company. I made it in Word and put my logo on it. I
enjoyed it as it was also easy to do. For the
competition page CBA we had to make a
competition page on our website. On my page I
made a multiple choice question. I enjoyed making
it as creating the question and prize was fun to do.
 I have a mixed opinion of this year’s course.
I thought some things were fun like coming up with
the company and putting the website together,
some things were hard like the radio ad and others
were boring like the business card, envelope and
letter head.
I think small activities like the envelope could
be remove and replaced with more exciting or fun
things, like coming up with some sort of
collaboration or partnership with other classmates
and their companies and other group activities.
I had a lot of problems with making things Word
like things not going where they should and also
keeping track of what I had done and meeting
deadlines. Aside from that I encountered no other
problems.
After hearing how easily someone can obtain
details about you I do feel that I am more safety
prone and cautious when online. I don’t feel as
though I have learned a whole lot more about my
digital life as I already had knowledge of it. I do feel
that it is important that young people learn about
online safety and looking at their digital life.
