III. FUNDAMENTACION (JUSTIFICACION)


El curso de inglés corresponde al área de formación profesional y es de carácter TEÓRICO Y
PRÁCTICO cuyo propósito es mejorar las competencias comunicativas verbales y escritas del
idioma inglés en el área de Ingeniería Geológica.

IX. REQUISITOS DE APROBACION

a) El alumno tendrá derecho a observar o en su defecto a ratificar las notas consignadas


en sus evaluaciones, después de ser las mismas por parte del profesor, salvo el vencimiento de
plazos para culminación del semestre académico, luego del mismo, no se admitirán
reclamaciones, alumno que no se haga presente en el día establecido, perderá su derecho a
reclamo.
b) Para aprobar el curso el alumno debe obtener una igual o superior a 10.5, en el
promedio final.
c) El redondeo, solo se efectuará en el cálculo del promedio final, quedado expreso, que
las notas parciales, no se redondean individualmente.
d) El alumno que no tenga alguna de sus evaluaciones y no haya solicitado evaluación de
rezagados en el plazo oportuno, se le considerara como abandono.
e) El estudiante quedara en situación de “abandono” si el porcentaje de asistencia es
menor al ochenta (80%) por ciento en las actividades que requieran evaluación continua
(practicas, talleres, seminarios, etc.)

ORE DEPOSITS: An ore is a natural occurrence of rock or sediment that contains
sufficient minerals with economically important elements, typically metals, that can be
economically extracted from the deposit.

DEFORMATIONS: Deformation is the rate of change of shape of fluid bodies.


Meteorologically, this quantity is very important in the formation of atmospheric
fronts, in the explanation of cloudshapes, and in the diffusion of materials and
properties

STRATIGRAPY: Is a branch of geology concerned with the study of rock layers (strata)
and layering (stratification). It is primarily used in the study of sedimentary and
layered volcanic rocks.

ENVIRONMENTAL GEOLOGY: Is the study of the interactions between humans and


their geologic environment: rocks, water, air, soil, life. Humans are impacted by Earth
processes, and by their activities have an impact on Earth.

GRAVEL: is a loose aggregation of rock fragments. Gravel is an important commercial


product, with a number of applications. Many roadways are surfaced with gravel,
especially in rural areas where there is little traffic.

- According to the RAE, geology is the "Science that deals with the external and internal form of the
terrestrial globe, the nature of the materials that compose it and its formation, the changes or alterations
that these have experienced since its origin, and the placement they have in their current state. "

• My cousin wanted to study the science of geology, but she realized that she did not
like being filled with earth in her hands.

• Geology is one that studies the history of the earth and its formation.

• In order to determine how old a layer of earth is, its origin and its different
characteristics must have been studied geology.

• Within the colleges and universities are giving great emphasis to the study of geology.

• All the sciences are important to understand the most important behavior and
