This standard outlines the importance of being knowledgeable about one’s interest
and talents, and being well-informed about postsecondary and career options, career
planning, and career requirement (NJ Student Learning, n.d.).

III. Learning Objective/Assessment

Learning Objectives Assessments

Students will be able to learn about a
well-known eating disorder and share
personal experiences to show how it
affects our society.
Teachers will be able to assess students’
knowledge by seeing how they do on a
virtual quiz. Performance may also be
assessed by having students share their
thoughts or opinions.

V. Pre-lesson assignments, knowledge and/or skills

Students, in their previous years of schooling, should have seen videos or
presentations regarding any eating disorders. They should be able to at least
identify each one.
VI. Lesson Beginning/Hook
Lesson will begin by showing class a short video on anorexia nervosa.

VII. Instructional Plan

1. Teachers will show class video on anorexia, students should be watching and taking

note on what they find interesting

2. Teachers will present Powerpoint, showing students what research was found on the

disorder.

3. Students will share anything personal if they feel comfortable doing so.
