INTRODUCTION

Mutual Fund:-
An investment vehicle that is made up of a pool of funds collected from many
investors for the purpose of investing in securities such as stocs, bonds, money
market instruments and similar assets. Mutual funds are operated by money
managers, who invest the funds capital and attempt to produce capital gains and
income for the funds investors. A mutual funds portfolio is structured and
maintained to match the investment objectives stated inits prospectus.

Company Profile
HDFC Mutual Fund has been one of the best performing mutual funds in the last
few years. HDFC Asset Management Company Limited (AMC) functions as an
Asset Management Company for the HDFC Mutual Fund.

HDFC Asset Management Company conducts the operations of the Mutual Fund
and manages assets of the schemes launched from time to time. As December
2018 the fund has managed Assets worth Rs 334964.10 crores .

Objective Of The Study


» To study of the structure of Mutual Funds in India.

» To study the Mutual Fund schemes of HDFC.

» To study the performance of Mutual Funds in India.

» To compare the various schemes of HDFC with other players such as


ICICI,RELIANCE.

» To suggest the feasible scheme for the Investor.


PROBLEM STATEMENT

Limitation Of The Study:-

No study is free from limitations. The limitation of this study can be:-

» The study will conduct only for four months.

» Sample size take is small.

» The stud only conducts in one geographical area of Greater Noida.

» Respondent bias and sampling error.

Literature Review:-

Prof. Kalpesh P Prajapati and Prof. Mahesh K Patel(jul 2012), have done a
comparative study on performance evaluation of Mutual Fund schemes of Indian
companies. In this paper the performance evaluation of Indian mutual fund is carried out
through relative performance index, risk return analysis, sharps ratio, sharp measures.
The data used is daily closing NAVs. The source of data is website of Association of
Mutual Funds in India(AMFI). The study period is 1st January, 2007 to 31st December,
2011. The results of performance measures suggest that most of the mutual fund have
given positive return during 2007 to 2011.

» 100 Investors in sectors like ALPHA, BETA, DELTA.

The data to be collected for the purpose of the study is divided
into two bases.

There are several methods of collecting primary data. These are:-

» Observations
» Interviews

Secondary Data:-
The secondary data will be collected from Internet, Journal, Financial Magazine
and Financial news paper through Economics Times.

Data Analysis:-
The data is analyzed on the basis of suitable tables by using mathematical
techniques. Quantitative Technique such as calculation of NAV of the funds for
the study.

The research will be carried on financial service sector in greater


noida(sectors: Alpha, Beta, Delta)
