Affidavit of Probable Cause
KIERSTEN JEANNE TOMASINI
Date of Birth: 04/19/1997
Arrestee
On 04/19/2019 18:30 the defendant was arrested for the offense(s) of:
I believe there is probable cause to charge the defendant with these charges because:
On April 16, 2019, West Valley City Police was dispatched to the area of 3185 S 1850 W for a report of a male
laying in the middle of the road who appeared to be injured. Officers arrived on scene and located a male with a
severe head injury and other bodily injuries. The victim was declared dead on scene by medical personnel. The
victim was later examined by the office of the medical examiner who determined he had suffered massive head
trauma along with abrasions on his body consistent with rolling on the road. On April 18, 2019, Officers received
several tips from concerned citizens regarding the incident and two different citizens identified a male whose
Facebook handle is "Tony Tokes" as someone who was in a vehicle that had struck the victim. Officers spoke in
person to another citizen who indicated she had spoken to a male and female who were in a Ford pickup that
struck the victim. She identified the male as "Tony Tokes" and the Facebook photo from "Tony's" account was
shown to gang detectives who identified "Tony" as Anthony Borge. The citizen identified the female who was
with Anthony as Kiersten “Demitria” Tomasini. Officers contacted Anthony and brought to the West Valley City
Police station where, after being advised of his rights per Miranda, Anthony admitted he had been a passenger
in a truck with the victim and Kiersten who was driving. He stated the victim jumped out of the moving vehicle
and fell to the ground and that Kiersten then made a u-turn and purposely ran over the victim with her truck.
On April 19, 2019, Officers of the West Valley City Police developed information regarding Kiersten’s location.
Detectives located Kiersten in a truck which matched the description of the suspect vehicle. The truck, a blue
2006 Ford F350, was found to have been reported stolen to the Unified Police Department on April 1, 2019.
Kiersten was interviewed and, after being advised of her rights per Miranda, admitted to being the driver of the
truck the night of the incident. Kiersten stated the victim opened the door and exited the moving truck which
caused him to fall when he hit the ground. Kiersten recalled her back tire ran over the victim and she was
unsure if he was alive but was scared so she fled the scene. Kiersten indicated she knew she should have called
police but was scared.
I declare under penalty of perjury and under the laws of the State of Utah that the foregoing is true and correct.
