ABSTRACT: To begin with, it must be borne in mind that the correct construction
of road paving should be appropriate for all kinds of roads, streets and avenues,
given the importance of this type of construction for the communication and
development of a territory. A pavement must be safe and provide the necessary
comfort for all users, it must not contain faults such as cracks, holes or craters,
which only reduce the traffic flow, which can cause an accident to avoid pavement
failures.
Another property of great relevance with which a pavement must have, is the
security that it provides to everything that I have been through. It must be paved
with rigor and solidity.
The following document is a case study related to civil engineering, about the
problem existing in the pavement of an area of the city of Armenia. For its solution
and study is part of the processes related to the method of engineering and the

The project analyzed a section of the road from the Castilian neighborhood on 13th
Street north between Carrera 8 and Centennial Avenue. Which has a very visible
and very discomfort for the people who move around this area. When vehicles
arrive at this area during peak hours, congestion is generated, as they are forced
to reduce speed or even invade the opposite lane in order to avoid existing
damage to the road.
For the analysis of this section of track in the realization of the project it was
necessary to use different documents, such as the manual for the visual
identification of INVIAS floors, among other articles and related internet pages in
the subject. This together with the collection of field data for further analysis, in
order to obtain the solution (ideally) for the existing problem in this area.
