Briefly in this present work, a case study that had been on “Heavy Machine Manufacturer

Maintenance Strategy Optimization Project “ was able to complete successfully with the
guidance from lecturer and fellow friends.Based from the case study, I had manage to achieve
the objective wisely by observing and analysing the downtime that occurs in an
equipment.There seems to be several causes of the breakdown had been analyse.Hence,based
from the root cause the Fishbone diagram technique was implemented ( Root Cause Analysis
RCA ). In addition, in order to complete the case study the Pareto analysis chart was utilize
based from the sources obtained.In conclusion,from these study it can be understood that
proper preventive maintenance ( PM) can greatly reduce the machine downtime failure rate in
order to increase the life cycle of an equipment.
