El hombre disparado por la policía cerca de la estación de metro del centro de Los Ángeles es identificado

Las autoridades identificaron el martes al hombre que fue asesinado en un tiroteo involucrado con un oficial en el centro de Los
Ángeles durante el fin de semana después de que dijeron que fue descubierto con una escopeta dentro de la estación de metro
de Seventh Street.

El tiroteo ocurrió alrededor de las 2:15 pm del domingo cerca de las calles Seventh y Hope, a una cuadra de la estación de metro.

William Crawford, de 47 años, de Van Nuys murió en el lugar, según la oficina del forense.

Dos agentes de Los Ángeles vieron a un hombre armado con una escopeta dentro de la estación de metro, lo persiguieron por la
calle e intentaron detenerlo, dijo la policía. Durante una persecución corta, al menos un oficial disparó al sospechoso.

Authorities on Tuesday identified the man who was killed in an officer-involved
shooting in downtown Los Angeles over the weekend after they said he was
spotted with a shotgun inside the Seventh Street Metro station.

The shooting occurred about 2:15 p.m. Sunday near Seventh and Hope streets,
about a block from the subway station.

William Crawford, 47, of Van Nuys died at the scene, according to the coroner’s
office.

Two Los Angeles officers saw a man armed with a shotgun inside the Metro station
and chased him onto the street and attempted to stop him, police said. During a
short foot pursuit, at least one officer fired at the suspect.

A shotgun and ammunition were recovered at the scene, police said.
