The study aimed to describe and compare the study skills of Grade-10 Learners in
answer the questions in chapter 1 using the study skills assessment questionnaire.
Specifically, it sought to answer the following; profile of the respondents, the respondents
concentration and memory, study aids and note taking, test strategies and test anxiety,
organizing and processing information, motivation and attitude, Reading and Selecting
Main idea and Writing, The Respondents Study Skills compared as to their profile, and
The study found out that Grade 10 learners are well organized in their study skills
but male are more organized than females. Additionally learners under the category of
upper middle income are usually using their study skills well than learners under the lower
category.

In light of the findings, the following recommendations were derived: Students
should enhance more their study skills through using and applying it on their tasks. It helps
them to gain more knowledge and other skills to accomplish their tasks. On the other hand,
Teachers should use teaching materials and strategies for the students to learn better and
apply their study skills effectively. Additionally Principal should come up with a program
for the students to enhance more their study skills by seminars that discusses the study
skills and how beneficial is it and how to improve it. Lastly, Parents should provide more
attentions to their children to motivate them in achieving good grades and to enhance more
