MARGARITA

Valicha is a lively, colourful Peruvian folk dance native to the city of Cuzco. Its roots are said to
go back to the Inca civilization.

This Huaino has gone to immortality in Peruvian music and is well known worldwide and
represented by other authors in the form of singing and instrumental.
It is not a dance and it is valued with the same importance as other themes such as El cóndor
pasa and La flor de la canela.

Valicha es una danza folklórica peruana animada y colorida originaria de la ciudad de Cuzco. Se
dice que sus raíces se remontan a la civilización Inca.

Este huaino ha pasado a la inmortalidad en la música peruana y es muy conocido a nivel

mundial y representado por otros autores en forma de canto e instrumental.
No es una danza y está valorado con la misma importancia que otros temas como El cóndor
pasa y La flor de la canela.

MELANIE

Es una ceremonia que se realiza el 1 de Agosto. Es un evento que suele coincidir con el
comienzo del año agrícola.

Considerada como una de las costumbres más antiguas de América del Sur y que une a
pobladores y visitantes.

El sentido fundamental del evento es la veneración a la Madre Tierra, así como la purificación y
la limpieza de la misma. Es siempre agradecer a la Tierra por todo lo bueno que brinda e
invocar su ayuda para el resto del año.
