Hola queridos padres y familia,

Mi nombre es Mayte Tapia, y soy estudiante de la Universidad de Arizona. Este semestre empez

“Student teaching” (maestra en entrenamiento) y estoy muy emocionada de poder estar en la clase de su

estudiante. Esta es mi oportunidad de aprender de la maestra Sra. Holman, quien ha sido una maestra

excelente. Sra. Holman y sus estudiantes ya me dieron una bienvenida muy agradable. Yo estaré en la

clase de lunes a viernes y también estaré presente todas la horas del día escolar.

Yo nací aquí en Tucson , Az y siempre asiste escuelas en TUSD desde la primaria. Tambien creci

cerca de esta vecindad, y me alegra mucho regresar y poder hacer nuevas memorias y experiencias.

Crecí en una familia donde el español siempre fue muy importante de mantener, y me da gusto al ver

que sus estudiantes también ven la importancia de ser bilingües. Estoy muy agradecida con Sra.

Holman, y tambien les quiero dar las gracias a ustedes y a sus estudiantes por la bienvenida y por su

tiempo. Con mucho gusto, estare aqui para lo que se les ofrezca.

Hello parents and family,

My name is Mayte Tapia, and I am a student at the University of Arizona. This semester I started

Student Teaching and I am very excited to be in your student's class. This is my opportunity to learn from

Mrs. Holman, who has been an excellent teacher. Mrs. Holman and her students already gave me a very

nice welcome. I will be in class from Monday through Friday and will also be present all hours of the

school day.

I was born here in Tucson, Az and have always attended schools in TUSD since elementary

school. I also grew up near this neighborhood, and I am very excited to return and be able to make new

memories and experiences. I grew up in a family where Spanish was always very important to maintain,

and I'm glad to see that your students also see the importance of being bilingual. I am very grateful with

Mrs. Holman, and I also want to thank you and your students for the welcome and for your time. I am glad

to help in any way that I can.
