Motivation

 Checklists are often needed in the area of maintenance and service to document the results of
inspections and checks with a legal binding
 In order to reduce the effort for master data management and work planning the Checklists have
to be created automatically following a defined logic
 SAP Standard functionality offers various options to build up checklists: work order operations,
inspection rounds (measurement points), notification items, FMEA,…
 None of those options meet the entire customer requirements

Classification of Inspection Plans and objects:


 Class name is identical in Inspection Plan Class and Object Class
 Relevant characteristics and characteristic values are identical
 Additional characteristic for activities at the Inspection Plan e.g.
inspections, maintenance, functional test, repair

be found and for each an Inspection Lot will be created.

 The table will be filled during inspection lot creation

possible from the ‘result overview’ and can be commented
by the user.

Form Inspection Result

A form for the checklist can be printed from the work order:

 Without Inspection Result = as template for manual


recording

 With Inspection Results = as result documentation

This is possible with the new EAM functionality ‘Printing in


status completed’ (available form January 2015)

After the last usage decision a PDF


with all checklist results will be
generated.

(DMS or Object Services) and
linked to the order
• Auditor-friendly proof of

Further functions

 Entry of results with QM standard transaction or with preceding transaction /CHL/QE51N with selection of
inspection lots by work order
 Program for automatic usage decision considering tolerated defect classes
 Follow-up action based on results recording (e.g. poor measured values) is possible (optional)
 The solution can be adapted by implementing BADIs
 Various customizing tables to adapt the solution
