It's me again -- Lucy's best friend Harley.

You might remember the pawsome email I sent right

before the 2018 election (it's copied below).

I'm going to go ahead and claim full credit for our win in 2018 -- after all I really helped with
W.O.T.V. (woof out the vote) efforts. And I got all my friends at the dog park to volunteer to
help W.O.T.V. too.

Since today is National Pet Day, Lucy said that I could say hello on email again. Woof
woof everybody!
Unfortunately, ever since Lucy started working in Washington this year, things have been a
little lonely around the house. (And I guess around "The House" too). I'm getting less head pats
and belly rubs than I used to, and I don't get to curl up on Mom's lap every night. You see,
when Lucy goes to Washington for work, I stay back in Georgia.

So just to make sure my dog mom knows just how much I love her -- even in our new
"long-distance relationship" -- I want to raise some more GRASS-roots donations for
her. Can you help me out by throwing my mom Lucy a few bones for her re-election
campaign?

I can dig up and chew on all of the grass (and the roots!) in our backyard, but since I'm a dog I
can't legally donate to Lucy's campaign. You on the other hand -- you can do it!

Thanks for helping. I'm pawsitive mom is going to love this email when she sees it! Wait, did I
hear kibble hitting the dinner bowl? Gotta run -- bark at you later...

Hi Human,

It's me -- Harley. Lucy's best friend and "body man." In campaign language, that means I follow
her around all of the time (and ask her for treats).
When I get the chance, I have been going on long walks (apparently it's called canvassing)
asking everyone to vote for my mom. I'm not going to lie, being on the other side of the door
and not woofing every time someone rings a door bell has been hard, but I am trying to be a
good boy so other humans will vote for mom.

Mom has been so busy lately, because this race is very close. I've been trying to help sniff
out the victory. I kept telling mom I am a great fundraiser because I make everybody
happy, and finally she agreed to let me send this email.

Believe me when I tell you -- Lucy is pawsitively the best person we could elect. To show mom
how much we all believe in her, I'm hoping to fetch 99 grass-roots contributions from
this email. Wait... did someone say grass? I LOVE eating grass!

Mom has been on the phone a lot making calls to raise money for the campaign -- I've been
trying to help by being very quiet, and offering lots of snuggles -- it seems to be working.
If snuggles and cuddles won elections I'd have this thing locked up, and I could go back to
worrying about the squirrels outside. Mom told me we still need to fetch more donations to win.
Dog to human, I'm asking -- could you help mom out by throwing her campaign a few
bones?

I admit it --- I might chew on one or two of those bones as they come in, but I'll still make sure
they all get depawsited in the campaign account.
Phew, writing all that down really tired me out. Time for a nap!
