II. Precautions

1. Don’t use the player in extremely hot, cold, dusty, damp and dry environments.

2. Don’t fall down the player when using it.

3. The service life of the battery may vary with the difference of usage condition, manufacturer and

production date.

4. Please charge the battery in the following instances:

A. The icon of battery level shows no electricity;

B. The system powers off automatically, even if the player is turned on again, it will power off quickly;

C. Keys do not work.

5. Don’t disconnect it abruptly during formatting and uploading or downloading, otherwise error may

occur to the program.

6. Please access the document in the right way when the player is used as the HDD. Any wrong

operating method will cause loss of documents. And the maker shall not be responsible for the loss

arising therefrom.

7. This player can be charged as soon as being connected with the USB port of PC no matter the

player is in ON or OFF state.

8. Do not dismantle the device or repair it by yourself. Any problems, please contact with our

IV. Root Interface

In the root interface, short press “◄►” key to select the function and short press MENU key to enter

the corresponding function.

V. Play Music

Connect earphone to earphone jack, Setup power switch ON/OFF to ON position, Press and hold

key to unlock and enter the main menu.

In the main menu, select Play Music option and short press MENU key to enter the option and then

it shall enter the resource manager list of audio play.

Keys function description:

y Short press “◄►” key to select the song file;

y When the file is selected, short press MENU key to enter the play interface and play the song;

y When playing song, short press MENU key to enter the interface of resource manager, long press

to return the root interface and at that time, the music shall continue to play.

Function description:

1. In music play state, short press “▲▼”key to adjust the volume.

2. Play list

Short press MENU key to enter the play list of audio file.

3. EQ mode

Long press MENU key to return to the root interface, select Setting and then select Play Setting

option to enter EQ mode, eight EQ modes are available including: NOR, 3D, Rock, Pop, Class,

Bass, Jazz and User. Press “◄►” key to select the option to experience the different music

effects. Short press MENU key to confirm and return the root interface.

4. A-B Replay

Short press A-B key to set up the starting point and the icon “A-” shall be displayed; short press

A-B key two times to set up the ending point and the icon “A-B” shall be displayed and then start

to play the A-B section repeatedly; short press A-B key three times to exit the repeat mode; in

Pause state the function of A-B Replay shall be unavailable.

In “A-” or “A-B” state, long press “◄►” key to quit the function.

5. Lyric Display

When the lyric file that has the same filename with the song is existed in the directory of the

 playing song, the player shall directly enter the lyric display interface.

VI. Play Video

Keys function:

y Short press “◄►” key to select the video file.

y After selecting the video file, short press MENU key to enter and play;

y When playing, short press MENU key to return to the previous video file list, and long press

MENU key to return to the root interface to play the video.

 Function description:

1. F.FWD/FREV

In the interface of video play, long press “◄►” key to conduct the operation of F.FWD/F.REV.

2. Play list

In the video play interface, short press MENU key to enter the video file playing list, short press

“◄►” key to select the video file to be played. Long press MENU key to return to the main

interface.

3. Adjust volume

Short press “▲▼”key to increase/decrease the volume

VII. FM Radio

In the main menu, select FM Radio option and short press MENU key to enter FM Radio option.

1. Search Stations

Short press “▲▼”key to Select Manual option and short press “◄►” key to search the stations

 upward/downward by manual, it shall be treated as mute when conducting the operation;

Short press “▲▼”key to Select Auto option to search the stations automatically, search the next

station starting from the current frequency until the next station is searched and it will stop to

search when the station is locked.

2. Save the station

Short press “▲▼”key to select Memory to save the station, short press Menu key to save the

current station and short press “▲▼”key to select the saving position CH1, CH2… and short

press Menu enter interface of the save channel, short press “◄►” key to select “No” or “ Yes”,

then press Menu key to save.

3. FM Recording

In FM state, long press “A-B” key to enter FM recording state, then short press “A-B” key to start to

record, again short press “A-B” key to pause to record, further press “A-B” key to continue to

record, long press “A-B” key to enter interface for save File, long press MENU key to exit the

mode and return to the FM radio interface directly.

 4. Switch of Preset station and manual adjustment

Short press MENU key to switch between preset station and manual adjustment. Press “◄►” key

to select the station. Automatically search station and save.

Select Auto option and press MENU key to search the station and save automatically, it will switch

to the first preset station after searching. In the process of searching station, the keys shall be not

available, but long press MENU key to return to the root interface.

5. Delete Station

Select Delete option, press MENU key to select the station to be deleted, and press Menu key to

enter into, Press “▲▼” key to select the delete position CH1, CH2… then short press Menu key

to confirm to delete, short press “◄►” key to select “No” or “ Yes”, then press Menu key to delete.

6. Adjust volume

Short press “▲▼” key to increase/decrease the volume.

VIII. Picture Browse

In the main menu, select Picture Browse option and short press MENU key to enter Picture

Browse. And then it will enter the file list of picture.

 Keys function:

y Short press “◄►” key to select the file;

y After selecting, press MENU key to browse the selected picture by full screen;

y Short press MENU key to return to the previous menu—picture resource manager;

y Long press MENU key to return to the root interface of Picture Browse.

. E-Book

In the main menu, select E-Book option, short press MENU key to enter E-Book, and then it will

enter the file list of E-Book reading.

Keys function:

y Short press “◄►” key to select the file;

y After selecting, press MENU key to enter the interface of E-Book reading;

y Short press “MENU” key to return to the previous menu—E-Book file list;

y Long press MENU key to return to the root interface of E-Book reading.

Function description:

1. Short press MENU key to enter the interface of E-Book reading;

2. Short press “◄►” key to page up/down the book;

3. Short press Play key to display the bookmark list, Short press “◄►” key to select the bookmark

and short press MENU key to confirm to save and exit;

4. Short press “A-B” key to display to pick up the bookmark list, Short press “◄►” key to select the

bookmark and short press MENU key to confirm and exit.

In reading, you may estimate the residual contents according to the processing bar at the

right side.

The bookmark is available only for the currently-read file, if you want to read the other files, it

needs to set up the bookmark again.

X. Record

In the main menu, select Record option and short press MENU key to enter the selecting interface

of Record.

Operating Method：

Record

1. Press MENU key to enter the recording interface, short press A-B/· key to start to record.

2. Short press A-B key to pause to record, long press A-B/· key to save the recording file and enter

the ready state for the next recording.

Play recorded voice

1. Press MENU key to enter the root interface of Play Music;

2. Short press MENU key to enter the resource manager, further press MENU key to select Voice

folder;

3. Press MENU key to enter, further press “◄►” key to select the recorded file to be played, further

 press MENU key to play

4. The adjustment of volume is same as the music playing.

XI. Resource Manager

Short press MENU key to enter the option, and list all saved files in the resource manager.

(1) Select file

y Short press “◄►” key to select the file;

y After selecting the folder short press MENU key to enter;

y After selecting the file press MENU key to enter the corresponding play interface, if the file is not

identified and it shall not response to the key pressing;

y Long press MENU key to return to the interface of resource manager.

(2) Delete File

If you want to delete one file, short press A-B/· key on the icon of selected file, and then it shall

pop up a dialog box of Delete, Short press “◄►” key to select Confirm or Cancel button, short

 press MENU key to delete the file.

(3) If you want to exit the Delete menu, Short press “◄►” key to select, Cancel and short press

MENU key to exit the dialog box.

(4) After confirming to delete the file, the player shall stop playing the music.

XII. Game

Short press “◄►” key to enter the option.

Press MENU key to control the falling speed. Short press “◄►” key to rotate the direction of the

block. When one line is full of block, it shall be cleared, and the upper block shall fall down until

not space for the falling block. One line is clear synchronously, you could get 100 cents, 300 cents

for two lines, 700 cents for three lines and 1500 cents for four lines. The speed shall be faster if

the 10000 cents is added every time.

Operating method:

1. Start and Pause

 Short press “ ” key to switch among the Start and Pause functions.

2. How to Play

Press “◄►” key to move the block, press “▲” key to adjust the direction and press MENU key to

make the block fall down quickly.

3. Exit

Long press MENU key to exit the game and return to the root interface of game.

XIII. Setup

In the main menu, press Setup option and short press MENU key to enter the Setup option. And then

Short press “◄►” key to select the option to be set up, short press MENU key to enter the option.

Short press “▲” key to return to the previous menu.

1. Play Setup

Four options are available for this setup: Repeat, Play, EQ Selection and EQ Adjustment. At the

time Short press “◄►” key to select the setup option or short press MENU key to enter the

 secondary menu. After selecting the option by pressing “◄►” key and further press MENU key to

confirm and save and exit the menu.

Repeat

Seven options are available including Track Once, Repeat One, Folder Once, Folder Repeat,

All Once, Repeat All and Introduce.

Play

Two options are provided in this menu: Order and Shuffle.

EQ Selection

Eight options are available including Normal, 3D, Rock, Pop, Class, Bass, Jazz and User.

EQ Adjustment

In the menu, there five frequencies and each one has 6 levels for adjustment.

2. Radio Setup

Two options are available including Stereo switch and FM Region, short press Menu key enter

into.

Stereo switch

Short press “◄►” key to select Stereo switch and press Menu key enter, press “◄►” key to

select On or Off , short press Menu key to confirm and exit .

 FM Region

Short press “◄►” key to select FM Region and press Menu key enter the four options

(China, Europe, Japan, U.S.A),short press Menu key to confirm and exit.

3. REC Setup

Three options are available including REC quality and REC volume. At the time, short press

“◄►” key to select the option to be set or short press MENU key to enter the submenu. After

selecting the option by pressing, short press “◄►” key short press MENU key to confirm to exit

and save the setup.

REC Quality

The options include: High quality and common quality.

REC Volume

Five options include: +1, +2, +3, +4 and +5. the level is higher, the volume is bigger.

4. Display Setup

Four options are available in this setup including: Backlight Time, Brightness Adjustment, and

Backlight Display Mode, at the time short press “◄►” key to select the option to be set up,

short press MENU key to enter the secondary menu. Further press “◄►” key to select the

corresponding setup and then short press MENU key to confirm and save and exit.

 Backlight Time

Six options include: 5 sec, 10 sec, 15 sec, 20 sec, 30 sec and Always.

Brightness Adjustment

Five options include: 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, the level is higher and the brightness is brighter.

Backlight Display Mode

Two options are available including Normal and Energy-saving.

5. Auto Play Set

Five options are available in this setup including: Text and Jpeg. At the time short press

“◄►” key to select the Text or Jpeg, then press Menu key to enter into.

Text Play time

Five options include: 1s, 2s , 3s , 4s , 5s .

Jpeg Play Time

Five options include: 1s, 2s , 3s , 4s , 5s .

6. System Setup

Six options are provided including Language, About, Upgrade. At the time short press “◄►”

key to select the option to be set up or short press MENU key to enter the secondary menu or

short press “▲”key to return to the previous menu. Further press“◄►” key to select the

 corresponding setup and then short press MENU key to confirm and save and exit.

Language

Eleven Language options include: (e. g. English, Korean, Japanese, CHI(Simp), CHI(Trad),

French, German, Italian, Polish , Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, )

About

The options include:( Version, Date, FlashMem, CardMen.)

Upgrade

The options include Yes and No, press “◄►” key to select “No” or “ Yes”, then press Menu

key to confirm and return to the previous menu.

7. Timing Power Off

One option is available in this setup: OFF Time. Short press “◄►” key to select it and short

press Menu key to confirm and save and exit.

OFF Time

Six options are available including: OFF, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 60 minutes

and 120 minutes.

8. Default set

It shall pop up a dialog box, short press“◄►” key to select Yes or No, short press MENU to

 confirm whether to confirm the defaulted value.

XIV. Video File Production

AVI is the most popular video format in the portable media players at present; it is also one of the

popular formats on Internet. The XviD/DivX format of video file features higher video quality but

smaller file size. For the watching quality, the XviD/DivX format of video file is as good as the

WMA/RMVB format video file.

Support avi, mpg, mpeg, rm, rmvb, wmv and dat as well as other formats, it could be converted to be

AVI format by the fastest speed and highest quality.

System Requirements

The basic configuration for A Converter software:

CPU: Intel or AMD inner core, Intel requires to be Intel Pentium 3 or above, including Intel Celeron

series.

Operating Steps

1.Click and run the program of “AVI” Converter exe”, shown as follows:

2.click "add ", show dialog as follows:

3.Select and set your desired parameters, select your desired video/audio file and AVI video file routine

to be generated, click [Start to Convert] button, then begin to convert to AVI file.

4.The successfully converted AVI video file can be played in MP4 player. During he operation, enter

Video Play menu, select the corresponding file, short press [MODE] key to play in video, long press to

exit (the Video Play interface refers to the Screen Description).

XV. System Upgrade

The player may conduct firmware upgrading and system maintenance by using the attached disk

“Firmware Upgrade Tool”.

Operating steps:

1. Power off the device and press MENU key without release and then connect the USB port of

MP3 to the PC.

2. The PC shall find “rock USB Device” and require to install the driver (it will skip the step if the

driver has been installed);

3. Run the “Firmware Upgrade Tool”.

4. Double click to run

5. Click Open button and then select Firmware file.

6. Click “Burning Firmware”

 After being upgraded, exit and disconnect MP3 player and PC.

XVI. Troubleshooting

1. The player couldn’t be powered on

y Check whether the battery has enough electricity;

y Connect the power adapter and then check it again;

y If it couldn’t still be powered on, please contact our customer service.

2. The earphone has no sound

y Check whether the volume level is set up to be 0;

y Check the connection of earphone is in good state.

3. Keys refuse to work

y Check whether the electronic lock is locked, if it is, long press EQ key to open the lock and then

 tray again.

4. Serious noise

y Check whether the plug of earphone is clean, the dirt may result in noise;

y Check whether the music file is broken, confirm by playing other music file. If the file is broken,

the serious noise or sound skipping shall be caused.

5. The screen displays clobbers

y Check whether the language is set up correctly, the language may be setup by the steps of

Setup—System Setup—Language.

6. The file couldn’t be downloaded

y Check whether the player is connected correctly with PC;

y Check whether the memory is full;

y Check whether the USB cable is broken.
