How To Rate The Exam Questions


The following is a typical layout for an Exam Question, please note the areas outlined in RED.
It is very important that you DO NOT click on any of these as it will result in the question being
treated as a fail.

In addition, there is a time limit for answering each set of questions, which is 90 minutes. If you
leave a question open for more than 90 minutes, the question will “Expire” and be treated as a
failed answer.

We strongly recommend that once you open a question, you answer it within 90 mins.

For each page in the exam, you have three options displayed at the bottom of the screen – it is
important you understand what these mean:

Part 1: Theory
The Theoretical Exam consists of 31 Multiple Choice questions with four possible answers, all of
which must be answered. They will appear in sets of 5 questions per page, (marked 1-5), with
one question on the last page.

Each question requires you to select True or False for all four possible answers. Do not leave
any questions blank. Before you start, we recommend you view the Theoretical Tutorial.

Example of a Theory question:

Tips!
• Look at the question and try to figure out which part of the Guidelines it refers to. In
this example it talks about the Fully Meets rating, so the answer is likely to be in Part 3:
Needs Met Rating in the Guidelines.
• There are no trick questions - you can pass the exam by carefully reading the Guidelines
and not rushing.
• Don’t Release or Cancel any questions – this will be treated as a wrong answer!

Part 2: Page Quality


The second part is a practical examination that consists of 7 Page Quality tasks. To prepare, you
should read the Page Quality specific section of the General Guidelines, Part 1: Page Quality
Rating.

All tasks are completed on your desktop, but you must view the results on your Smartphone.
Make sure your Smartphone has been setup correctly: Smart Phone Setup.

We recommend you view the Page Quality Tutorial for advice on how to complete these types
of task.

• The Page Quality Grid is a guide to help you decide your overall Page Quality rating.
• You must add a comment to be able to submit the question.
• Don’t Release or Cancel any questions as these will be treated as a wrong answer.

Part 3: Needs Met


The third part is a practical examination that consists of 7 Needs Met tasks. To prepare, you
should read the Needs Met sections of the General Guidelines, Part 2: Understanding Mobile
User Needs and Part 3: Needs Met Rating.

All tasks are completed on your desktop, but you must view the results on your Smartphone.
Make sure your Smartphone has been setup correctly: Smart Phone Setup.

We recommend you view the following Needs Met materials to help prepare:
• Needs Met Tutorial
• Needs Met Errors

Tips!
• Most of the dupe results will be predefined, so do not worry about finding additional
dupes in the tasks
• The Fully Meets rating is a special rating which will be used only in very special
circumstances, avoid being too generous to a result. If you have any doubts drop down
to the next rating.
• Don’t Release or Cancel any questions as these will be treated as a wrong answer.
