Airton
Lisa Richardson has designed this light
weight jacket using Rowan’s Valley
Tweed, a fine gauge yarn rich with
tweedy flecks of color. The seed stitch
cuffs and collar show up exeptionally
well in this yarn. Knitters with some
experience will enjoy creating the box
pleat detail in the center back. You can
close your piece with one single button,
or leave it open as you like.

Candle Flame
Wrap
Heidi has created a wrap
using this deeply textured
lace pattern that resembles
undulating leaves or candle
flames. Most lace patterns
keep the same stitch count
on every row. Candle flame
lace is one that changes
stitch count. Heidi has cre-
ated her own chart of this
lace to supplement the line
by line directions. Use this
class to bump up your chart
reading and lace making
skills while making a very
beautiful piece to keep your
shoulders warm on summer
evenings. When you are
done with the knitting, Heidi
will show you how to create

Crochet Flower
Scarf or Wrap
First we’ll learn to crochet the small flower motif
that is the basis of this design from Church-
mouse. As you are finishing the second flower,
you’ll crochet it on to the first flower, The third
flower will hook up to the first and the second,
and so on. Each new flower will be crocheted to
its neighbors to build your scarf or shawl fabric.
You can choose from a wide variety of light-

SHOP pullover uses Catena, a chainette yarn from
Berroco. Catena is surprisingly lightweight
considering that it knits up to a bulky gauge
and the cables are beautifully defined. Happily
all of the garment shaping is done outside of
the cable panels, leaving you free to enjoy the
cable knitting process. Riasa also features an
on trend split hem. Class will emphasize chart
reading skills and navigating a complex cable
design. There will be homework before the
first class.
