LIMANOL® BF 29
Spin finish

Field of Application: Spin finish for polypropylene BCF and CF yarns; suitable for natural white and
solution dyed filaments. LIMANOL BF 29 shows very good performances in heat
setting and twisting.

Properties:  Well-balanced friction coefficients

 Excellent thermo stability

 Good filament cohesion

 Good antistatic properties

Application: The product is to be applied either as NEAT OIL or as an aqueous emulsion at

the take-up unit.

Concentration of emulsion: approx. 10 – 20 %

Oil pick-up: 0.80 – 1.40 %

To prepare the emulsion LIMANOL BF 29 is slowly stirred into the required

quantity of demineralised water of 20 – 30 °C.
Keep on stirring for approx. 30 minutes.

Composition: Mixture of heat-resistant lubricants, nonionic emulsifiers and special antistatic

agents.

Product Characteristics: Appearance: yellow oil

Active content: approx. 90 %
Ionic properties: nonionic, anionic
pH (10 %): approx. 7.0
Viscosity (20 °C): approx. 120 mm²/s

Shelf Life: In original sealed drums or container 12 months from delivery date under stated
conditions.

Storage Conditions:  Optimal storage at 15 - 35 °C.

 Turbid product after exposure to cold has to be warmed up to approx. 40 °C
and homogenized before application.
