Description
Concure CR consists of a processed blend of chlorinated
rubber and modifying agents in Xylene to give a stable,
transparent, quick drying, mobile liquid. Concure CR cures,
seals and hardens the surface of new concrete, providing
increased strength and durability and improved resistance to
chemicals and surface dusting.
Application instructions
New Concrete
Concure CR should be evenly sprayed over the freshly laid
concrete as soon as possible after final trowelling. Ideally
Concure CR should be applied as soon as the surface bleed
water has evaporated.
Old Concrete
All surfaces must be thoroughly clean, oil free, structurally
sound and dry. Laitance must first be removed from the
concrete to be coated.

Cleaning
Concure CR should be removed from tools and equipment
with Fosroc Standard Grade Thinners.
Limitations
Certain adhesives for vinyl tiles, or other types of resilient
flooring, and paints of an approved grade may be applied to
concrete coated with Concure CR. It is important however
that the concrete should be thoroughly cured prior to such
application, and that a test area has been completed for
approval.
Cement based renders and toppings should not be applied
over Concure CR. First remove the Concure CR by sand
blasting or scabbling to provide a mechanical key. The life of
Concure CR will depend on traffic conditions to which it has
been subjected; therefore apply reviving coats as required.
The bond of Concure CR is likely to fail if the product is
applied to concrete or masonry substrates subject to back
water pressure, and/or where extraneous salt particles are
carried from the substrate to the interface by vapour or
condensation.
Substrates to which Concure CR is not resistant include
oxidising agents, such as sodium hypochlorite, bromine water
and sulphur dioxide. Concure CR is also not resistant to
concentrated acetic acid, concentrated phosphoric acid,
concentrated nitric acid, chromic acid, concentrated
ammonia, animal fats and oils, synthetic oils such as brake
fluid and some transmission fluids, vegetable oils and higher
fatty acids such as oleic acid plus the following solvent types:
aromatic hydrocarbons, esters, ketones and chlorinated
solvents.
A clear appearance with slight yellow cast is obtained.
Concure CR will yellow when subject to ultra-violet radiation
from sunlight. When a non-yellowing clear floor coating is
required contact the local Fosroc office.
Concure CR is only recommended for use as described in
the Uses section of this data sheet.

Storage
Shelf life
All products have a shelf life of 12 months if kept in a dry
store in the original, unopened packs.
Storage conditions
Store in cool, dry conditions, away from sources of heat and
naked flames, in the original, unopened packs. If stored at
high temperatures and/or high humidity conditions the shelf
life may be reduced.
Precautions
Health and safety
Concure CR and Fosroc TCN Thinner Cleaner should not
come in contact with the skin and eyes, or be swallowed.
Ensure adequate ventilation and avoid inhalation of
vapours. Some people are sensitive to resins, hardeners
and solvents. Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and
eye protection. If working in confined areas, suitable
respiratory protective equipment must be used. The use of
barrier creams provides additional skin protection.
If swallowed, do NOT induce vomiting - give a glass of
water. If in eyes, hold eyes open, flush with water for at least
15 minutes. If skin contact occurs, remove contaminated
clothing and wash skin thoroughly. Do not use solvents on
skin. If poisoning occurs, contact a doctor or Poisons
Information Centre.

Concure CR and Fosroc TCN Thinner Cleaner are

flammable. Keep away from sources of ignition. No
smoking. In the event of fire, extinguish with CO2 or foam.
Do not use a water jet.
