Ble AS ee) de>) by Lewis Carroll s Alice was sitting on the bench next to her sister who was reading, she felt very bored. She looked at the pages several time, but there were no pictures in it, so she gave up. ’What's the use of a book", she thought, "If there are no pictures in it?“ She yawned and looked around, And at that moment, she saw something UNBELIEVABLE: a white rabbit dressed in a waistcoat, peeping at a watch and talking to himself! So she just stood up, followed the rabbit and, as the rabbit popped down a large hole in the ground, she jumped after it without thinking. She fell very slowly through some sort of well, and she could see everything on the sides of the well. She even took a jar of marmalade from a shelf, but because it was empty, she felt disappointed and put it back on another shelf, further down. There were books, and boxes, and all sorts of things that looked rather interesting, and Alice was curious about them at first, but then she started wondering when the fall was going to end, because it was taking so long. She thought she was now near the centre of the earth, and she started thinking about the people who lived at the other end of the world. ’What will I say to them? she wondered. Then she thought about her cat. "She will miss me so much! Alice suddenly felt worried. She was also worried about her family, who might really get scared if she wasn't home in the evening. But then, since it was, such a long fall, she started to feel sleepy from the journey. Just as she was thinking about taking a nap and her eyes began to close, she suddenly landed on a bed of sticks and dry leaves. She was not hurt in the slightest, so she jumped up and looked around. She could see a long passage. The white rabbit was running through it, so she followed it and ended up in a long, low hall, lit by lamps hanging from the roof. The rabbit had vanished. Around the hall there were several doors. Alice tried all of hem, but they were shut, soshe started feeling sad, "How will I ever get out of here?" she wondered. As she looked around, she could see a little table with a tiny key on it, but the key was too small for the locks, so she kept looking around until she found a small door with a small keyhole. The key fit and she could unlock the door which led to a small passage, but she was too large to get through the door. She went back to the table, and, to her surprise, she saw a little bottle labelled: DRINK ME. She decided to drink from the bottle, and, as she did so, she became smaller and smaller, so that she could finally get through the small door. But you won't believe it! The key was on the table, and she \was now too small to reach it. So she tried and tried to climb onto the table to get to the key, but she could not and she finally sat down crying. After crying for some time, she wiped her tears ~ because she remembered she was a brave git! — and began to look around. She finally found a small glass box under the table, and inside was a small cake with the words: EAT ME. So she did: she ate a litle bit and saw that she was growing, and then she ate another bit, until she finished off the cake.
