Dear Students (level VI)

Here you have a practice for your Last Oral Exam


Steps to follow:
1. Please read the Instructions.
2. Practice general conversations from PART 1 with a friend.
3. Practice with the pictures making questions about what you would like to do from PART 2.
4. Practice using the photos and describe it to your partner for about one minute. PART 3.
5. Practice talking to your class mate or any friend about taking photographs. PART 4.
6. Please don’t forget to be on time in your classroom. The designed teacher is going to be
there to give you instructions. Thanks and Good Luck.

INSTRUCTIONS
Part 1
General conversation: saying who you are, spelling your
name, giving personal information.

 Take turns to be the examiner. Ask your partner questions to find out some information about each other.
 Ask each other:
o What’s your name?
o What´s your surname?
o How do you spell it?
o Where do you come from?
o Are you a student or do you work?
o What do you study? Where do you work?
o What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
o Do you think that English will be useful for you in the future?

Part 2
Simulated situation: exchanging opinions, saying what
you would enjoy doing.

Your examiner gives you both a picture. You do a task together.

You are going to the seaside with some friends. Look at down to the pictures. There are some things you could do there.
Decide together what you would like to do.

Ask and answer questions like these:

 Would you like to do water sport?


 Do you like lying on the beach?
 Would you like to go for a walk?
 Do you enjoy swimming in the sea?
 What shall we do first?
Part 3
Responding to photographs: describing what people are
doing and what is happening.

You take turns to tell each other about a photograph.

Candidate A: Look at Photograph “A”


Candidate B: Look at Photograph “B”
Think about your photograph a few seconds.
Describe it to your partner for about one minute.
Tell your partner about these things:
 What the people are doing and why?
 Where the people are?
 What the people are wearing?
 How the people are feeling?
 What other things you can see in the photograph?

Part 4
General conversation about the photographs: talking
about taking photographs.

The examiner asks you to talk to your partner.

Talk to each other about taking photographs.

Use these ideas:

 Say how often you take photographs.


 Say what you take photographs of.
 Say how important you think it is to take photographs.
 Say what you think about photographs of famous people in newspapers and magazines.
 Say if you would like to be a professional photographer. Why / Why not?
