Zinc has long proven itself as the ideal corrosion protection for steel.
Hot-dip galvanized sheet combines the exceptional properties of
zinc such as oxidation resistance and its high-quality appearance
with the strength of steel. Areas of application include the automotive
industry, auxiliary parts such as air ducts, pipe insulation, roof
drainage, ceiling elements, doors or shelves, in plant construction,
and in the construction and household appliance industries.

1) If the yield strength is not pronounced, the values for the 0.2% offset yield strength Rp0.2 apply. If the yield strength is pronounced, those for the lower
yield strength ReL apply.
2) For product thicknesses from 0.50 < t ≤ 0.70 mm (including coating) the minimum elongation A80 values decrease by 2 units, for t ≤ 0.50 mm by 4 units.
3) For thicknesses > 1.50 mm, the r values decrease by 0.20.
4) If the yield strength is pronounced, the upper yield strength ReH values apply.
5) For all grades except S 550 GD, a range of 140 MPa can be expected for tensile strength.
6) If the yield strength is pronounced, the values for the lower yield strength ReL apply.
