Design Concepts and Translation

The design for the house wishes to echo the client’s love for nature,
specifically bonsais, by providing him with wide common spaces like the living room
and the family room. He is provided with his personal indoor workshop and mini
library to accommodate his profession and hobbies. The said workshop is also
designed to include work and display tables for his bonsai collection, with the room
also having enough circulation for probable guests of the client. An outdoor activity
area is also included to accommodate small gatherings through the provided space
for a picnic table. The house is also designed with lots of windows to serve as the
connection between the indoor spaces and the immediate environment. The house
has four main bedrooms: 2 for the guests, 1 for the maid and the other for the client.
The master bedroom includes a balcony specially oriented to overlook his garden
and is directly above his workshop.
