Cebu's new pride: Mactan-

Cebu International Airport

Terminal 2
 on Thursday a P17.5-billion passenger terminal built by Philippine-Indian consortium, GMR-Megawide.

World-renowned Cebuano furniture-maker Kenneth Cobonpue and Filipino designer Budji Layug
helped conceptualize the terminal, which has timber arches that look like an inverted boat hull, and a
wave-like roof that evokes a tropical and resort-like feel.

The Mactan-Cebu International Airport will host 26 airlines that will fly to 25 international and 30
domestic destinations, GMR-Megawide Cebu Airport Corp. said. Its Terminal 2 will begin
commercial operations on July 1.
