Your lesson plan was very detailed and met all the expected components of lesson planning. Your plans represented engaging
activities that allow for a variety of learners to participate. Your objective was clear and concise and aligned to standards. Your
Comments:
planning was very descriptive and represents a deep understanding of the lesson being delivered. Your procedures are also
very detailed and provide extensive information - they provide guidance were someone else delivering the lesson.

The classroom environment is cooperative and collaborative between students, students and teacher. Students show respect
for you and are safe to ask you questions or seek assistance. You are familiar with the classroom routines for management and
respect those procedures. For example, when giving directions you mentioned the teachers expectations and how you would be
enforcing her rule. The strategies used in our lesson show respect for students in using inquiry and exploration to enhance their

learning. Future Consideration: You have a great voice- it carries well and you speak with confidence and articulate well. It will
be important to have some strategies (especially in a science classroom) for getting the attention of the whole class for brief
moments to clarify or give additional information - your voice is not always enough to capture them when they are highly
engaged.

You delivered a very well thought out lesson - you were well organized and could give instructions with ease due to your
familiarity with what you were having students do. You started by acknowledging that students have see motion and that they
were going to be further exploring this. You demonstrated the stations that were set up around the room- you modeled how to
use some of the equipment and gave students tips and safety reminders. You gave them very clear and concise information
regarding the purpose of the station work: Read Predict Observe Record. You validated a student that said, I have no idea how
this is happening (after Rube Goldberg model was shown)- you said, "it's great to be curious - many well known scientists begin
Comments: with that curiosity"-- very nice. During the activity you moved around the classroom- you seemed to know where you needed to
spend the most time and what kind of issues may come up, for example, you knew students would need to be supervised when
rolling the can because their instinct is to stop the motion. You visited each station and circulated the room multiple times. You
asked questions and answered questions that students had as you circulated (except you did not tell them what was in the
can:). You gave students signals for wrapping up station work and also went to groups to nudge them along. Future
consideration: Even if for a brief moment bring students back together to summarize your objective-- it could be a brief
discussion that helps them to make the connections.

information about students
as sources for evaluating
the outcomes of teaching
and as a basis for reflecting
