1. If a country has great ethnic diversity, would you expect to find many people
who speak different languages and have different customs?
-Yes, for instance in USA, there are many foreigners and immigrants who all speak
different languages and have different cultures.

2. Could planning a visit to another country motivate someone to learn a

foreign language?
-Definitely yes, because whether you visit or decides to live there, there is at least a
few sentences or everyday language you learn.

3. Should immigrants be required to learn the language of their new country

before they become citizens?
-In my opinion, it is better to learn the language either way if there is emergency or
you are in bad situation you can at least express and explain yourself.

4. How could you learn about the customs' and traditions for a holiday in
another country?
-I think that holidays are part of the country’s history that has been passed on
decades. It marks important for people to understand their culture and others to at
least get glimpse of their history and tradition.

5. If there are more people in the United States who speak English than
Spanish, which is the dominant language in the United States?
-English
6. Is the climate of a country a significant factor in the daily lives of the people?
Why?
-I think climate is significant factor in lives of people for many reasons. Most
importantly the climate indicates the food that country will have. For example, in
Mongolia we don’t grow mangos or durians that we can grow because of it’s harsh
climate. Secondly it affects how people dress. Because you can’t wear what you
wear in Mongolia in freezing cold minus 40 degree celsus.
1. How would you compare the size and ethnic diversity of your country with
that of the United States? What are some of the challenges that size (large or
small) and diversity (great or limited) present to a country?
-United states is about 6 times bigger than Mongolia. Meanwhile, the population of
Mongolia is ~3 million people (321 million more people live in United States).
There isn’t much ethnic diversity as USA in Mongolia. From my information,
there are about 20 Mongolian ethnic groups which creates 99.7 percent
Mongolians and only 0.3 percent foreigners in Mongolia.

2. Should a country have immigration quotas based on country of origin?

Should immigrants become citizens? Should countries allow "guest workers"
(people who work there temporarily) to come? Should they allow them to become
citizens?
-I really think that it should depend on the situation. There are always two sides to
a story or a problem. If you look at from the immigration side yes they should
become citizens, but the other way around it is not so.
