The key elements of a research proposal are: Conceptual framework; Aims and Objectives;
Sample literature review; synopsis of the methodological framework; and some details of the data
collection method.
2. What constitutes a viable research project?
Primarily, a viable research project has a manageable time frame, money and access to the data
needed. Viable research projects are properly defined and refined research statement or question.
3. Outline three research statements/questions for three viable research projects.
a. This research project is a case study designed to examine the branding of Willowbrook
Cricket Club.
b. This research project is a cases study designed to produce a new marketing campaign for
WIllowbrook Cricket Club.
c. This research project is a survey designed to explore perceptions of the members of
Willowbrook Cricket Club of the image and branding of the club
4. Explain why these research projects are ‘viable’.
They contain all the key concepts in the research project and provide and appropriate conceptual
framework for the project. Each statement is simple and concise and contains a methodology to
be used in the research.
5. Develop an aim and a series of objectives for each of the research projects.
a. This research project is a case study designed to examine the branding of Willowbrook

The aim of this research is to develop a case study designed to examine the branding of

The objective of the research are as follows:
 To know the extent of the states where Willowbrook Cricket Club are popular
 To determine all other Cricket Club significant to each of the identified states
 To conduct a case study on why such Cricket Club is popular of each of the
identified states.
 To provide a recommendation on what to do in order to increase or maintain the
popularity of the Willowbrook Cricket Club

The aim of this research is to develop or produce a new marketing campaign for

The objective of the research are as follows:
 To identify the strengths and qualities of the Willowbrook Cricket Club
 To determine what would be these strengths and qualities of Willowbrook
Cricket Club is significant
 To develop a marketing campaign themed regarding the most significant
strengths and qualities of Willowbrook Cricket Club
 To provide all the guidelines to follow for the implementation of the campaign

c. This research project is a survey designed to explore perceptions of the members of

The aim of this research is to design to explore perceptions of the members of

The objective of the research are as follows:
 To identify the members of the Willowbrook Cricket Club
  To provide a criterion of each member according to their responsibilities on the
Club
 To develop survey form to be answered by the members
 To evaluate and provide recommendations regarding the perceptions as reflected
from the result of the survey

literatures the validity of the statement of the problem will be known.

direction for the theoretical framework?
The conceptual framework gives the direction of the theoretical framework thru key concepts.

research project.
