The standard Krautkrämer Lab Tank
configuration comes with automatic X and
Y-axes and a manual Z-axis, which allows
for the scanning of flat components at
reduced costs. However, all tanks are pre-
configured for the installation of multiple

MANUAL Z-AXIS
This axis is best used when parts are consistent sizes and the
probe is fixed. The probe is fixed in one single direction, but Probe Z
coordinates can be pre-determined for desired distance between
probe and part.
The basic configuration for the Krautkrämer Lab Tanks, this module
consists of a stainless steel support pipe equipped with a UHF plug
at the bottom to directly connect the probe. An adjustable clamping
solution allows you to move and rotate the support pipe at different
positions. Adding the SP Series accessory optimizes for increased
probe positioning in different planes.

Tail stock module (TS series)
Scan cylindrical objects with centering bores on the front surface. This
motorized accessory makes part rotating along the X-axis possible—
providing lateral inspection for bars and pipes. Parts are supported by
two centering cones. The first provides motorized rotation. The second
is free to rotate thanks to a set of bearings and a slider for clamping
parts of different lengths.
