• Moisture problems due to rain in external walls are a common phenomenon. Waterproofing is
the process of making an object or structure waterproof or water-resistant so that it remains
relatively unaffected by water or resisting the ingress of water under specified conditions. Such
items may be used in wet environments or underwater to specified depths. Water resistant and
waterproof often refer to penetration of water in its liquid state and possibly under pressure,
whereas damp proof refers to resistance to humidity or dampness Cement by nature shrinks
over the time resulting in cracks in plasters and concrete.Water-cement ratio is not maintained
at sites causing capillaries to form resulting in leakages, dampness, and cracks in due course of
time.
Chemical Coating
A coating is a covering that is applied to the surface of an object, usually referred to as the substrate. The
purpose of applying the coating may be decorative, functional, or both. The coating itself may be an all-over
coating, completely covering the substrate, or it may only cover parts of the substrate. An example of all of
these types of coating is a product label on many drinks bottles- one side has an all-over functional coating (the
adhesive) and the other side has one or more decorative coatings in an appropriate pattern (the printing) to
form the words and images.Amber is committed to delivering innovation and solutions for coatings
applications.
Foam Concrete
• Foam concrete can be defined as a cement based slurry, with a minimum of 20% (per
volume) foam entrained into the plastic mortar.Foamed concrete typically consists of a slurry
of cement and fly ash or sand and water, although some suppliers recommend pure cement
and water with the foaming agent for very lightweight mixes. Foamed concrete mixture may
be poured or pumped into moulds, or directly into structural elements. The foam enables the
slurry to flow freely due to the thixotropic behaviour of the foam bubbles, allowing it to be
easily poured into the chosen form or mould.Foam concrete is a versatile building material
with a simple production method that is relatively inexpensive compared to autoclave
aerated concrete.
Heat Reflection Coating
Epoxy coatings are created through the generation of a chemical reaction that uses an epoxide resin
and polymine hardener. When these two chemicals are combined, the result is a process known as
curing, which can take between several minutes to several hours and turns the liquid epoxy coating
into an extremely strong and durable solid, often with strong mechanical properties, as well as
resistance to high temperatures and chemicals. Because of these properties, these materials
provide significant advantages over one-component coatings. Epoxy coatings are formulated with
optimum levels of a hardener for a given level of epoxy resin. The ratio differs from product to
product. The use of an improper hardener may result in an undercatalyzed or overcatalyzed
product. Many epoxy coatings require a specified induction time to fully compatibilize the epoxy
resin and the hardener. Lower temperatures and/or high humidity generally require longer
induction periods. Water-based primers require sufficient curing prior to top coating. Otherwise,
discoloration, low gloss and possibly delamination result.
Nanotechnology
Zycosil is an organo silane product, which forms a particle size of 4-6 m in water and
penetrates deep into the building material pores (3-5 mm depth). The product becomes
part of the building material and makes it highly water repellent. Zycosil provides all
three of the most desired properties. It is based on nano technology; it provides
molecular level hydrophobicity to inorganic substrate and is eco-friendly because it is
applied in water solution and the VOC per applied square meter is less than 20% of
solvent based silanes. The product is based on organosilane chemistry; hence it
chemically reacts with the inorganic substrate and provides a long service life of 20 to
30 years.
Guniting
Epoxy Tile grouting has become more and more popular among tile contractors and
builders. We find new benefits every time we use this product. Unlike cement grout,
which is made from a cementitious powder mix, epoxy grout is made from epoxy resins
and a filler powder. The grout is extremely durable and almost completely stainproof.
Regular grout isn’t waterproof, so unlike epoxy grout, it can absorb water when it’s wet
and stain easily. If you’re tired of scrubbing the gunk off your grout, epoxy grout could
be your solution.
Epoxy grout is made from two different resins mixed with a filler, making it very
waterproof and bettered suited to harsher cleaning products. Epoxy thinsets offer
greater bond strength and chemical resistance than cementitious grouts.
PU Grouting
Polyurethane chemical grouts are usually injected under pressure
as a liquid resin into or in the vicinity of the leak. Once the resin
contacts water, a chemical reaction occurs. Depending on the
material formulation, the grout/water combination forms either
an expansive closed cell foam or a gel. The foam created can be
flexible and resilient (hydrophilic) or ridged, meaning the cell
structure of the foam crushes when compressed (hydrophobic).
Basement Waterproofing
Waterproofing is usually required by building codes for structures that are built at or
below ground level. Waterproofing and drainage considerations are especially
important in cases where ground water is likely to build up in the soil or where there is
a high water table. Water in the soil causes hydrostatic pressure to be exerted
underneath basement floors and walls. This hydrostatic pressure can force water in
through cracks, which can cause major structural damage as well as mold, decay, and
other moisture-related problems.Interior basement waterproofing using coatings is
effective where condensation is the main source of wetness. It is also effective if the
problem is minor dampness. Usually, interior waterproofing will not stop major leaks.
Basement waterproofing involves techniques and materials used to prevent water from
penetrating the basement of a house or a building. Waterproofing a basement that is
below ground level can require the application of sealant materials, the installation of
drains and sump pumps, and more.
Polyurethane Coating
Concrete walls or hollow-block walls are not sufficient to ensure a full waterproofing
and avoid leakage of a swimming pools. A full waterproofing system should be applied
before putting the swimming pool in service. Swimming pools are a popular recreational
option these days. However, they are required to be well maintained in order to avoid
leakages.
We offer a dual protection system with a crystalline shield for walls, floors and
construction joints. Weak areas such as construction joints and cracks are again coated
with an additional layer of highly elastic acrylic coating.
